Sometimes two souls just aren't meant to be, no matter how hard they try to believe they are.

That was the case for Kiana Stevens and Julien Baker.

The two had met in the summer of 𝟤𝟢𝟣𝟪 and officially became a couple a few months after meeting. The first few months were perfect, almost too perfect. Kiana and Julien had agreed to move in together after a year or so, which is when things took a turn for the worse.

Their relationship was over before they even knew it.

"Julien, you can't just ignore me!" Kiana followed Julien into their bedroom. "Julien!"

"What! What could you possibly want!"

"I want you to talk to me, can you at least do that?" Julien turned away from Kiana, unable to look her in the eye, "J, come on, please"

"I have to go," She pushed past Kiana and booked it towards the front door.

"Please!" Kiana grabbed Juliens wrist and spun her around, "You spend more time out on the streets than you do with me and I wanna know why!"

Julien sighed, "It's because every conversation we have turns into this! We can't have a normal conversation, Kie!" Julien ran a hand through her hair as she exhaled out of annoyance, "I can't keep doing this with you, Kie. I can't, and I won't"

Kiana took a step back, "You're breaking up with me?"

"That's exactly what I'm doing"

"So you're just quitting, just like that?" Kiana honestly could not believe the words that were coming out Juliens mouth. "You're not even gonna try?"

"I've tried," Julien pointed at herself, "I have! You're the one that has made this relationship impossible! God, I don't know how I ever fell in love with you!"

"Okay," Kiana nodded, choking back tears, "If being my girlfriend is so impossible then why don't you get the fuck out of my house!"

"Oh, I'd be happy to!" Julien pulled on a green bomber jacket and grabbed her keys, "Fuck you!" Julien flipped her off on the way out and slammed the door.

Kiana took a moment to sit in the silence. She put her back to the door and slid down to the ground, hugging her knees.

On the other side of door, Julien was in the exact same position. Julien began to wonder if she had dodged a major bullet or just lost the love of her life.
