The Journey Begins!

                                    

                                          
Mom: "Ethan! Wake up! Its your big day!"
My eyes slowly open as the sun peers through the window. *Yawn* I sit up on my bed and take off the blanket on me. "What time is it..." Still half asleep I look at my clock. "6:30..." I then stretch and change into my trainer clothes: A Black Jacket, a Gray Shirt, and some dark Grey Shorts. "Alright, i'm ready!" I grab my backpack and run downstairs. "Ok, mom, im heading to the Proffesors Lab!" As I open the door, my mom stops me by yelling: "Wait!" I turn to her. Mom: "Happy Birthday!" My sisters Olivia and Averie then run down the hall and yell Happy birthday. "Thank you." My mom then hands me a tiny bag. "What is it?" Mom: "It's your birthday gift! Please take care of it, ok?" My mom smiles. "Sure thing! I'll open it once i get to the Proffesor's Lab." My family says bye, and I walk outside. I take a deep breath in and give a sigh. "Ok, let's do this! Off to the Proffesor's Lab!" I put the tiny bag in my Backpack and start to run up the hill to the Proffesor's Lab.
Eventually, I get to the Proffesor's Lab along with a few other kids. The kids talk among themselves, all excited now that we can be trainers. I wonder what pokemon we will get... I then notice a Pidgey fly past us. We all watch as it flies away. The door to the Proffesor's Lab then opens, and we see none other than Proffesor Oak. "Alright!" Proffesor Oak: "Woah- This is a pretty big group of kids compared to last years. Now please, follow me into my lab." We all walk in with Awe and Excitement. While we walk, Proffesor Oak explains how the world of Pokemon and how they can be found anywhere. Random Kid: "Excuse me, Professor Oak?" Proffesor Oak then stops walking and turns to us. Proffesor Oak: "Yes?" The Random Kid: "When are we gonna get our pokemon?" The Professor laughs. Proffesor Oak: "I see you're eager to see what pokemon you guys will get. Come." He turns to the left and heads for a door.
When he opens it, we all walk in with Awe. We all see pokemon playing with each other. I knew some of the Pokemon there: A Pikachu, a Rattata, a Growlithe, and a Cubone.
Proffesor Oak: "Little Pokemon! Some trainers have come!" All the pokemon turn to us and smile before running. They seem as excited as us to choose one another. "Woah- So many choices!" Proffesor Oak: "Well? Are you kids gonna choose a pokemon or not?" We all look at him, beaming with excitement.
Eventually, after everyone finishes choosing their pokemon, I ended up with a cute, blue turtle, Pokemon. Proffesor Oak: "Now here take these." He then hands us each a Pokedex and our Pokemon's Pokeball, along with a few other pokeballs so we could catch pokemon. I immediately use my pokedex to see what pokemon I chose. "A Squirtle! Sweet!" I wanna give you a nickname... "I'll name you... Ben!" My Squirtle then smiles and nods with approval. "Yeah!" We all eventually leave the lab. Random Kid: "Let's have a tournament! This way, we can all see our pokemon's power!" Eveyone agrees, and we pair up with someone. Luckily, we had 12 kids here.
I ended up getting paired up with this kid named Luis. Everyone takes turns battling, while everyone watches, eventually it's Me, and Luis's turn.
All the other kids cheer as we slowly walk up to our spots in front of the lab. I must show everyone that me and Ben are strong, I simply can not lose my first battle ever! Me and Luis then look at each other and nod. I smile while sweat rolls down my face. "Ok! Go, Ben!" Luis then sends out the Pikachu I saw from earlier. Great! Electric types like Pikachu are super effective against a water type like Ben (The Squirtle.)
