You were given the task to create several outfits for the school festival and so, you had come to Gangdong where you could buy the fabric and threads needed.

The school had given you a budget to use as it was for the festival but, it was enough for what you needed.

"[F/N]! It's been a while."

You smiled towards the middle aged woman as she greeted you with enthusiasm. You approached her as she stood behind the counter with a small cash register placed on top.

"I needed to buy some fabric and thread." You told as you presented her your designs that were labelled to show what exactly you needed.

"I see..." She mumbled as she skimmed through each design.

She closed your sketch book and handed it back to you with a smile.

"I'll prepare what you need but it will take a while. Do you have anything else to do?"

You were planning to head back home and start your work since you were excited to do it.

"Not really..." You spoke truthfully and it earned you a chuckle.

"There's a café across the road from here. Come back in an hour and your order will be ready by then."

You decided to go with her suggestion by giving her a nod and you left the fabric shop, moving over to the café she told you about.

You walked in and gave your order before taking a seat besides the window, looking out of the view.

"Here's your order. Enjoy." The girl smiled down at you and you returned it in a much more awkward way before dipping your head to thank her.

You had gotten yourself a cake and some coffee because you were going to need the caffeine and sugar to keep yourself awake for the rest of day.

You had a lot of preparations to do for each outfit.

You used the fork to take a piece of the cake and bring it towards you but the sound of light knocking had you pausing in your actions.

You blinked, wondering where the sound was coming from and when you looked out the window, you found your answer.

A toddler, you could guess was probably two or three, was staring at something with a little bit of drool trailing past her lips.

You gazed at her for a moment before following her line of sight.

It landed on your cake.

You were quick to show her the cake and her expression brightened up.

You stood up from your seat and walked outside of the café, approaching her small figure.

"Where are your parents?" You asked, kneeling down so you were on the same level as her.

She only gazed at you, not responding to your words.

"Mother?"

She still didn't react.

"Father?"

A bright smile painted her face and she reached towards you as a way to ask if you could pick her up. You were careful to hold her as you placed her in your arms.

"Where is your father?" You wondered as you looked around.

The girl didn't seemed to care as she leaned over and grabbed the handle to the door of the café.

"Oh, right." You mumbled, opening the door and walking back to your table with her in your arms.

You placed her in the chair next to yours, making sure she could sit on it properly before you returned to your own seat.
