AS THE DELICATE morning light filtered through the curtains, I gradually opened my eyes, only to discover Jungwon nestled against my neck, his warmth enveloping me. My mind struggled to retrace the events of the previous night—it seemed that both of us had fallen asleep after watching the movie together.
A mix of surprise and confusion washed over me, leaving me momentarily frozen. The tranquility of the moment was abruptly shattered by a loud beep resonating from outside, piercing the silence and signaling for everyone to gather in the field.
Jungwon stirred, his arm instinctively tightening around my waist, his hand tenderly caressing my back. The sensation sent a shiver down my spine, and I tried to process the unfamiliar intimacy. With gentle determination, I attempted to extricate myself from his embrace, ready to embrace the new day. However, as I made my move, his hold tightened, pulling me back into the warmth of the bed. Still in a drowsy state, he murmured, "Don't go," his voice raspy and filled with a mixture of longing and reluctance. His eyes fluttered open, revealing a gaze that held an undeniable connection. His peaceful countenance, tousled hair, and vulnerable expression made him even more endearing.
As if guided by some unseen force, my hand found its way to his head, my fingers tenderly combing through his soft locks. He nestled his face deeper into the crook of my neck, a soft tired groan escaping from him. I couldn't help but revel in the comforting sensation of his grip tightening around my waist. It was a feeling I had only imagined when daydreaming about him.
"We need to get up, Jungwon. Our friends are waiting for us," I responded, my voice filled with affection, though secretly relishing the warmth and contentment I felt being cocooned in his embrace. Deep down, I couldn't deny the allure of this moment.
Jungwon's hold on me tightened slightly, silently pleading for me to stay. "Just five more minutes, rin. Let's keep sleeping," he playfully implored, mischief dancing in his voice. He buried his face deeper, inhaling my scent as if trying to commit every detail to memory. A tingling sensation traveled down my spine as his warm breath grazed my neck, and the endearing nickname he gave me caused a subtle blush to color my cheeks.
"Jungwon," I spoke, and he sighed, recognizing the seriousness in my tone. Reluctantly, his arms released their embrace, allowing me to disentangle myself. He turned around, seeking solace under the covers once more.
I smiled at his obedience, attempting to push aside the intimate moment we had just shared. With a renewed sense of purpose, I rose from the bed and fetched an outfit from my luggage.
Jungwon sat up, running a hand through his tousled hair. His eyes softened, brimming with affection and longing as he gazed at me, silently conveying his desire to spend more time together.
"Come on, sleepyhead," I teased, playfully nudging him. "We have an exciting day ahead of us."
Grumbling good-naturedly, a mischievous glimmer flickered in Jungwon's eyes. "Alright," he conceded, sitting up and stretching his arms, his gaze fixated on me. "But only if you promise to stay by my side for the rest of the day."
His request caught me off guard, causing a flustered response to ripple through me. I nervously hummed in reply, averting my gaze as I made my way towards the restroom to change, determined to embrace the day's adventures while keeping my heart fluttering with anticipation.
