Mason P.O.V

I woke up with a sharp pain in the back of my neck. I don't know where the hell I was but it was dark and cold. My arms felt trapped and every time I tried to pull them they hurt. I sighed and tried to look and see if anything was familiar. But all I saw was darkness.

I struggled through the pain and pulled my arm free. I sat up and apparently too quickly because I was instantly dizzy. The feeling was sickening. I stood and felt for anything that even closely resembled a switch. It took me awhile to even find the wall, let alone a switch. But once I did, I immediately recognized the place as Lily's garage. But what the hell was I doing in here. I stumbled to the door and flipped the switch, opening the garage door. It was dark, and from what I could tell, I was still in my tuxedo, which judging by the amount of dirt, I wasn't going to be able to return. I inwardly groaned and continued down the path of her driveway.

My leg cramped from being in the awkward position that I woke up, for who know how long. I checked the watch on my wrist and cursed aloud. It was already two hours into prom. Charlie was going to hate me.

The first slow song of the night played and I grabbed Mason and drug him onto the floor with me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I sighed as I leaned onto his chest. We swayed back and forth to the slow rhythm of the song and I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. I dreamed about this day since I was seven and now I'm here with Mason. It was supposed to feel right, but something felt wrong and I just couldn't place my finger on it.

The song ended and Mason's hand wrapped around mine and we walked towards the bathroom. "Mase... where are we going?" He didn't answer , but instead, dragged me into the men's bathroom and locked the door. "Mason, what are you doing?" He placed his fingers over his lips and walked slowly towards me. I backed further into the counter as he got closer.

"Months ago..." His voice had changed, gotten deeper. "You denied me something I asked for..." He stood right in front of my face, his hand reached out for my face. "You told me, there was something I couldn't have..." His hand stroked my face and I realized, that the feeling that I had earlier, the wrong feeling... I was right. Mason got closer and the smell of alcohol was very present on his breath. His hands grazed my hips and I shivered involuntarily. His touch was cold. His hands traveled up my body and entangled themselves into my hair. I groaned as he pulled me towards him and forcibly kissed me. I didn't melt into this kiss like I normally did...

Mason's POV

I fixed the sleeves on my tux and stumbled up the pathway to the dance. Someone was sitting on the bench next to the hall. Her face was buried in her hands and I heard sniffling. I touched her shoulder and Maya lifted her head from her hands. "Mason??" I sat next to her and she frowned. "How are you out here? I thought I saw you and Charls go towards the bathrooms?" I frowned and looked over at Maya.

"I just got here, Something happened and I left Charlie a bunch of messages letting her know I was going to be a little late... What do you mean you saw Charlie and I..." Everything pieced together in my head and I took off towards the bathrooms. I tried the women's bathroom first and after being yelled at by a bunch of girls in masks, I ran to the men's bathroom. The door wouldn't budge which meant it was locked from the other side. I pushed against it harder and the door budged open. Charlotte was against the counter with some douche in a mask.

I was enraged until I fully looked at her. There was a few tears running down her face and her lip was quivering the way it did when she was upset. The guy didn't notice the door was open, but Charlotte did, she looked over to me and her watering eyes looked relieved. I walked over to the guy and grabbed the back of his tux jacket and threw him onto the floor. Charlie scrambled off the counter and ran to the closed door. The guy, who I had a pretty good idea who he was, shuffled around on the floor. I ripped the mask off of his face and wasn't surprised when I found Tyler. "Oh look, you found me." He let out a sickly laugh.
