Chapter Ninety-one: the biggest issue

Start from the beginning

She snorted. "My older brother is Aaron and his best friend is Karter. I think I can handle it. I mean, if I can't handle you, then what right do I have to claim the title of your closest female friend and sister-in-law?" She said almost cockily. Rafaelia was missing something. Aaron dotes on her and I was sure Karter wouldn't dare be rude to his precious sister.

Still…

"Stop making excuses for your weakness," I removed my phone from my ear and stood up, putting it on loudspeaker. "If you feel terrible about your weakness and you feel like you can't do anything about it, get rid of that pathetic thought and do something about it. You are the daughter of the damn vessel and if you weren't worthy, you wouldn't have been chosen to be the witch of spring. You might be weaker than the rest of us but you are still part of the circle, Faelly. So stop making excuses and focus on how to surpass yourself. I know you know how. You keep stopping yourself—"

   "I—"

"Shut up and just do it. If you think it's too much of a bother then beg your mom to allow you to train with the elders. I have a teacher, Lycia. She's a forest nymph. She might not be able to control the season, but she is stronger than you and Aida. I am sure she'll be able to teach you something." I still wonder why Raquelia didn't allow Faelly to train with me. I can never know what goes on in that head of hers, but I had a feeling it had to do with Faelly's desire.

Faelly's problem was Frost. She didn't desire to leave him. Her only wish and reason to live was him. Everything she thought about was him and that limited her. As long as she can be with him, nothing else matters. I'm sure it would have killed her if Raquelia tried to separate them. I wasn't going to tell her that though. If her mother couldn't, why should I?

"I miss Frost," she suddenly whined. See what I mean?

"Well, I'm ready to go. Please keep an eye on the boys,"

"You damn bitch! Get your harlot breasts away from my brother's face. Damn undignified slut!" Aida screamed from the background. I twisted my lip with a smile. I wonder what is going on there. Must be fun. "And that loud idiot. Keep an eye on all of them,"

Faelly laughed. "Of course, that's why I'm the responsible one,"

"Excuse me?" Aaron butt in, clearly offended. Faelly and I burst into laughter. I hung up before he started cursing at Merlynn, I knew that was what he would do next. I shoved my phone into my pocket and drew in a deep breath. Someone was behind me.

"What do you want?" I asked without glancing behind me. Ever since I regained my memory, he appeared to me, claiming to be one of the people that's supposed to serve me. He called himself the captain of the guard and since the sword didn't react, I didn't bother to send him away. He was bringing me good information anyways.

"I've investigated the attack on The Spring Flower Tower and it is as you said. Icy is behind it."

"Hmm," I opened the door and walked out, allowing him to follow behind. "And what's her goal?"

"Distraction. I believe she wants to pull most of your allies away so she can attack and lure you out. And with your father down at the moment, I believe this is a perfect time," I beeped open my car and held the door gently. "And the sorcerer you mentioned works with her?" I raised a brow at him. His appearance was hard to detail since it changed every time we met. The only thing that didn't change was his long sky-blue hair which was always swept over his right shoulder and his bright sea-green eyes. Today, he was spotting dark skin, snow leopard ears, and a tail.

"Lord Damian disappeared, but he left most of his powers and all of his subordinates behind. And he had no idea Icy had more people hidden. She thinks she is ready to attack you,"

I raised my gaze to the sky and stared at it thoughtfully. If it was what I was thinking, then I didn't have as much time as I thought. "Who's going to be my biggest issue, aside from Icy herself?"

"The Crimson Twins. I believe you once fought them but they got away," I looked at him with an arched brow. His head remained bowed. "Thunder and lightning twins," he tried, but I couldn't remember who the hell those were.

«Tweedledum and Tweedledee,» oh, those foolish duo. «They might be foolish but with them around, taking care of Icy without causing severe chaos to our pack will be impossible. They are chaotic and live to cause destruction,» she was right. I was sent after the fools because they didn't care for anything but destruction and death. That is what they live for.

   "Is that all?"

"The circle of wizards whose scholar you killed on your first day in school," wow, how much does this guy know about me? How long has he been watching me? It's creepy.

I ran my fingers into my hair with a groan. He's practically telling me that she is coming to my pack with an army of wizards, undead, and two chaotic bastards. If that fight takes place in my pack, especially with my father unconscious, the pack will be destroyed. And to think they are going after Frost to draw me out. Frost can't handle them alone and neither can I without destroying the pack.

   "What are my options?"

"I have a plan but for it to work out, we're going to need your mate,"

And what do you think her plan is?
