TWO WEEKS LATER

Today marked two weeks since Thompson asked me to be his girlfriend and we were currently hanging out at our favorite coffee shop.

"I wanna take you out tomorrow". Sean said taking my hand.
"Oh really? And where would we be going?" I asked intrigued.
"It's a surprise". Sean said as I rolled my eyes.

I just hate it so much when men do that.
"Really? A surprise? Why can't you just tell me where we're going?" I whined.
"Well, because if I told you, maybe you wouldn't enjoy it as much". Thompson said playing with my fingers
"Ok fine".

We spend the rest of the time at the coffee shop talking about everything and nothing, drinking our coffees, gossiping. Just enjoying our time together.

We were walking to the car holding hands when Sean turned to me.
"You know what I love most about you?" He asked me.
"What?" I looked at him.
"Your smile. It never fails to make my day ten thousand times better; it's just so beautiful and your laughter, I could listen to it all day long".
"Really? My family doesn't really like it". I said looking to the ground.
He stopped pulling my hand softly making me stop with him.
"Well then they don't know what they're saying because you have the most amazing contagious laughter I've ever heard in my entire life. It's so beautiful, I love it". He said closing the distance between us.
"Well, thank you". I blushed. Sean pecked me on the lips lightly and we kept walking towards the car.

We decided to go to a park because we weren't really ready to part. Once at the park we started walking and spotted some swings (my favorite).
"Oh my god, swings!" I let go of Sean's hand and made my way towards them.
I sat on one of them and started swinging back and forth.
"Come on, join me". I told Sean.

I was having so much fun leaning back on the swing letting my hair touch the ground closing my eyes, just enjoying my time on the swing.

What I loved the most about the swings was that I felt so alive every time I hopped into one. I loved the idea that I was so strong to make myself feel like I was flying just by moving my legs back and forth and that I could even lay back and not fall because of how strong I was.

Thompson soon joined me by hopping onto the swing that was besides me.
"Hey stranger". I said to him reducing the speed of my swing so I could talk to him easier.
He chuckled and muttered a small "hi" back to me.

After a while we were both swinging so high it felt like we could've been flying.
"Isn't this so much fun?" I asked him.
"Yes it is! I never did this before in my life".
"Wait?! You mean you never ever played on a swing before, did you have no childhood?" I was surprised to hear my boyfriend never played on a swing before.
"Nop, my mom was a germaphobic and never let me play on one of these".
What? "Well, good thing you did this before you died. Because it's one of my favorite things in the world". I turned to look at him.
"Yes, I'm so happy you made me do this".

Suddenly it started purring rain out of nowhere, I started laughing because in a matter of seconds we were dripping wet.
We stopped swinging and started to make our way back to the car.
"Wait!" I pulled on Sean's hand "there's something I've always wanted to do".
"And what is that?" He said over the rain.
"I've always wanted to dance with the man that I love".
Sean pulled me closer by my waist.
"You should've said that sooner".

He took his phone out and played music so we could dance even though we couldn't really hear it because of the rain.

We danced a couple of songs before he whispered against my ear.
"There's also something I always wanted to do under the rain". Sean looked straight into my eyes and kissed me as he never had before.
His hands on my waist and mine around his neck trying to pull each other closer as if it where possible.

We pulled away to catch our breath and laughed a breathless laugh. "We should probably head back now or your mom will kill me". I laughed at that last part and then we took each others hand and continued to make our way to the car.

Once in the car we turned on the heat so we wouldn't freeze to death on our way to my house. After a few seconds I started trembling.
"Are you still cold?" He glanced at me.
"It's ok, don't worry".
Thomson reached to the backseat to reach for his hoodie.
"Here, put this on, it'll keep you warm". Thomson said handing me over his hoodie.
I thanked him before putting on the hoodie.

Since I was still cold I took my shirt off under the hoodie. I struggled since it was stuck to my skin but after a few seconds I finally was able to pull it off and out of the hoodie.

"How did you even-?" Sean asked sounding surprised.
"It's one of my secret talents, I guess". I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Ok? Weird talent but it's also kind of impressive? I don't know, I just never saw anybody do anything like that before".
I just chuckled rubbing my hands together to get some heat.

Finally we arrived to my house. It took longer than expected since there was a bit more traffic than usual because of the rain.

"I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Yeah, sure".
"Hey um, is it ok if I keep your hoodie and I give it to you tomorrow?"
"Keep it ". Sean said with a smile.
"No, I couldn't, it's yours".
"And now it's yours, I insist".
"Well, than you honey".

Thompson kissed me good bye with the promise that we would be seeing each other the next day.

"I'll pick you up around eight. Is that ok?" He asked me.
"Sure, I'll see you tomorrow at eight". I said kissing him one last time.

I entered my house and my whole family was there looking at me like I was some sort of alien.
"What?" I asked them.
"MARY AND SEAN SITTING ON A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G". They all said in unison bursting out in laughter afterwards.
"Oh my god, you guys are so immature". I said laughing making my way to my room to shower.
