A/N: Alejandro Guzmãn is the complete opposite of Vile Vilda and everything the Spanish players deserve in a coach. Therefore he's a caring, teddy bear personality with deadly tactical precision in his coaching. Enough to rival Sarina Wiegman.😉

I wanted to give him a face claim that would suit such a person and who better than Oscar Issac? (Although Pedro Pascal was a close second)

So here's Alejandro Guzmãn:

The Spain basecamp was bustling with activity as the Barcelona portion of the Spanish team arrived, without their nations best goalkeeper which was a blow, but they had their now two time Ballon d'Or winning captain which was a moral booster for all who laid eyes on her.

No, she can't play for them next month, but her being here and calmly willing to hear this new coach out had those who were still unsure feeling more settled.

But the tension between players and staff could be cut with a knife, it was almost muscle memory for the players to assume a harsh comment or command would be throw their way, or maybe someone will say they were children who threw their dummies out of the pram and have ruined this teams chances of winning anything.

They were all ushered into a massive boardroom, laniards around their necks that they got upon entry to make sure all the players were here, and to mark the ones that weren't.

All the ones who play their football in Spain were present, but the likes of Jenni who's in Mexico couldn't make it on such short notice. However when Mapi spotted Laia Aleixandri, she almost jumped from her seat like a child to look for Leila, and she would've if it weren't for Aitana holding her down in her seat because the meeting was about to start.

Alejandro greeted as many players as he could amongst the chaos, mainly the ones sat near the front near the projector. But he was in deep conversation with his own team that were already in Spanish branded uniform, making sure everything was in order so this goes as smoothly as possible.

It's no secret that Jorge's behaviour has caused distrust to form between players and coaches, and he needs to make his point early on that he's not like that. To be honest, what Jorge did makes him feel sick. Alejandro has a daughter himself who wants to play for Spain one day, and he would never allow such a coach to manage her.

After a brief introduction that has all the players quiet and listening, Alejandro drops the first bomb of the day. "I'll be completely honest with you all, the Spanish media have jumped on this want to take advantage of us, take advantage of you." He says and a few players look to the cameras that are filming from the sides of the room. "They want to document the rebuild of this team, through training, through team bonding, through the Cup of Nations, and through the World Cup." Some players can't help it and whoop at the last tournament, and Alejandro doesn't shout at them to shut up, he only chuckles and carries on. "It might not be what some of you want, and it might be invasive at times, but this is a chance to tell your stories and show the world how special this group is."
