"Y-yes... how the fuck?" I say, my eyes wide with what I see in front of me.

"Mom!?" I yell.

Staring at her, I look her up and down. She looks exactly the same as I remember her from when I was a child. Emerald green eyes, brown long wavy hair, and a smile that could pull anyone in.

She's beautiful.

But she's not my mother. My mother died when I was a child. This can't be her. No.

Standing up straight, I look at her. "Who are you?" I ask.

She smiles slowly. The same smile I remember so dearly.
"It's me, mom. You know who I am sweetheart."

I shake my head no. "I knew a version of you. Or should I say what you were. This... I have no recollection of."

Pausing, she struts her way towards me, reaching her hand out to touch my face. Before should can put her hand on me, I back up one step.

I shake my head no. "How are you here."

She sighs. "I've always been here sweetheart."

She's always been here? And she thought it was a good idea to leave her child, especially when she really needed her?

I furrow my eyebrows. "Wait, you've been here this whole fucking time? Yet, you never once came back to see me!?"

"It was complicated dear." She says holding her hands together.

I start shaking my head, brushing my hands through my hair.
"Complicated? Like the way you never told me you were a god damn vampire!?" I yell before I continue. "And what about dad, huh? Was he one too?"

Pedro steps in front of me. His head to the side. "Wait." He says. "You're from that story."

Mom puts her head down.

I look over at her, trying to put two and two together.

"The story?" I say confused. "The one that dad would l read to me at night?"

It was the story about a monster falling for a human, but that kind of love could never be, but than how did my parents stay together? I don't understand.

She shakes her head. "Yes. I am the fairytale. I loved your father so much, it hurt to even..."

She stops her sentence, beginning to walk back to her thrown.

"Stop - what do you mean 'loved'?"

She didn't answer. All I see is a single tear stream down her cheek.

Pedro breathes in heavily, causing me to look over to him.
"Shit." He says. "You killed him."

My head darts to my 'mothers' direction.
"you what!?" I yell, my anger slowly starting to build.

She starts shaking her head back and forth.
"It had to be done. There was no choice."

No choice? What kind of bullshit is this.

"You could have ran! But no, you decided to kill your husband, my father instead!"

Jesus fucking Christ. How could she do this? She had other choices but she just decided to take the easy way out?

My breathing picks up, my body starting to shake again, but this time more slowly. I look over at Pedro, who is staring directly at me. I have to keep myself under control. I will not let myself black out this time - or ever.

Looking towards her, I see her smirk.
"Wow... your eyes. Such a beautiful color."

I laugh. "Don't change the fucking subject. - you killed dad."

Pedro grabs my arm, pulling me towards him. His mouth isn't moving but I can hear him in my thoughts.

"We will figure that out later. First, we find out what's going on with you. After that, we can discuss your family matters."

I shake my head, letting him know I understand.
Huffing, I walk over to an open seat, in the far right corner.
"What's going on with me?" I ask, "from what I've been hearing, I'm apparently like you." I say with disgust in my tone.

Jasmine walks over, plopping down on the other side of me.
"Are you fucking stupid? What do you think is wrong with you. You're a god damn vampire." She says.

I roll my eyes - my mother coughs, as Jasmine looks up at her growling.

"She is right. You are a vampire, but you are also much more than that." She stops, contemplating on saying anything else. "I never wanted you to find out this way but I guess we have no choice now - you're a mixture of three beings dear."

Pedro laughs. "I knew you smelt different."

My mother shakes her head.
"You're part human like your father obviously, part me, a vampire... and part fairy."

Me and Pedro look at each other in shock.
In unison we say - "a fairy!?"
