Opening their eyes, Faith and Grace are face to face with a past version of their town. "Well, this is not what I was expecting," Grace says as she stands. Faith snorts following her cousin's movements, "Talk about the understatement of the century," the girl retorts. "What the hell is going on," Grace asks. "I have a better question," Hope asks. Faith and Grace turn to see their auburn haired cousin and they run to embrace her in a hug. "What the hell are you guys doing here," she asks. "Don't," Grace says. "You would have done the same for us," Faith adds. "What's happening," Faith and Grace ask in unison. "You are a coward just like your father," a harsh voice growls. Faith and Grace immediately turn to Hope and she sighs with a shrug. "When I called Finn into my mind, I did not realize that he would not be able to get out," Hope says. "Then where is he," Grace asks. "He killed him," Hope says. "Fine," Grace says, her eyes darkening. "Let's do this," she adds. "Together," Faith starts. "Always," Hope continues. "And Forever," Grace finishes. Simultaneously, the girls drop their hands, letting their magic out through their fingertips, each girl has a different colored flame protruding from their hands.

"Mikael," Klaus and Kol say in unison. Hope and Faith turn to Grace, "I was killed by a stake to the heart," Grace says. "You were all killed by a sword to the heart," Grace adds.

While all of the students are out at the field day, Alaric leads Raf through the halls of the school away from Landon's body that sits in the shared dorm between the werewolf and the phoenix. "Where you going?" Raf asks. "To force some answers out of that pompous ass," Alaric says. "If you're gonna do this, let me come with you," Raf says. "Absolutely not," Alaric says. "Look, maybe you can just slow down and think about it for a second," Raf says. The doors of the school burst open and Raf steps in front of the Headmaster letting his werewolf side show. The Necromancer struggles with someone as he steps into the school, "You... you... you must deal with this lying, cheating, backstabbing miscreant," he growls. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa," Alaric says, pushing past the concerned werewolf. "Get in there, you insubordinate little..." the Necromancer mumbles as he throws someone further into the room. "Landon," Raf says. "Hi. Sorry, bro," Landon replies. "Can somebody tell me what the hell's going on right now?" Alaric asks. "You can see him. Curious. Perhaps because you were recently attached to me in death," the Necromancer says to Raf. Alaric clears his throat and the Necromancer turns toward the headmaster. "I'm in possession of the phoenix's infuriatingly stubborn spirit. But the dark magic I was promised remains out of my grasp until birdbrain here returns from the dead," he says. "Now all I need to do is drop him back into his body, and we can all go about our merry business," the Necromancer adds acting as if he was going to use the dark magic for the benefit of the world. "So what are you waiting for?" Alaric and Raf ask at the same time. "The little pillock won't come back!" the Necromancer shouts.

Klaus groans, "He's like an annoying parasite," the hybrid says. "Why can't he just go away," Kai adds. "We are talking about Landon, right," the heretic asks. Klaus nods.

Nikolai runs up to Lizzie and Josie in the midst of the field day, "Lizzie, Josie," the young Mikaelson shouts as he approaches them. The twins turn to him, "Nikolai, where are your cousins," Josie asks. "Hope got hurt in her subconscious," Nikolai says. Both Saltzmans move to try and help their friends, "So Grace and Faith jumped into help," Nikolai says, stepping in their way. "They want us to keep everyone distracted," the boy adds. The twins exchange a look, speaking to each other with their eyes, and then they nod. "Okay," they say, turning to the group of Salvatore students.

Caroline giggles at the relationship that Nikolai has with her daughters. "Trouble in three," Henrik says.

Before the girls can approach the group of classmates, Finn appears. "Finn," Lizzie and Josie exclaim in shock. "What happened," Nikolai asks. "Hope called me into her mind, because she did not understand her subconscious," Finn says. Lizzie nods, "When I got in there, I quickly learned that I was not able to get out until I was killed," Finn says. "I was not able to warn my nieces of what was going on," Finn says. "So because you are out, means you were killed in her mind," Josie says. "By who," Lizzie asks. Finn looks at Nikolai and then turns to the twins and he shakes his head.
