Annabeth was able to barely draw her knife and block the sword that came awefully close to decapitating her. It seemed to surprise Gamora and Annabeth took advantage of that to kick her back and gain a little space.
"Rocket I am going to kill you." Annabeth said and Gamora sprinted forwards with now an identical pair of swords. Annabeth wished that she still had Destruction as a necklace but seeing that it didn't come back after she'd escaped from the prison with Rocket she guessed that Percy had retrieved it already and was unable to send it to her again.
But she did have something else.
Annabeth blocked the first sword with her dagger and made a smaller dagger with her fire. It wasn't as stable as her dagger but it would do for the moment. Though it seemed that Gamora was either expecting something else to happen of was able to adapt pretty quickly from the last time she got blindsided by Annabeth's skill.
They both danced around the platform for a few tens of seconds before another kick from Annabeth sent them both in opposite directions once again allowing Rocket and Peter to get in-between the two. Gamora stopped and lowered her swords with a slight nod in Annabeth's direction. The weapons seemed to fold into themselves and were retracted up the Green skinned woman's arm and into her suit. Not even leaving an outline in the material as a hint of something being there.
"Woah, woah, woah! Calm down you two." Peter said looking back at Rocket. "What did you do?"
"It was just supposed to be a joke! I didn't think they'd try to kill each other." He yelled looking between Annabeth and Gamora.
"That's what happens when you tell an assassin that the person in front of her was cheating on their love interest." Annabeth scolded and Rocket's ears flattened for a moment before standing up again.
"Yeah whatever. You both looked like you were having fun anyways." He growled walking off and when Annabeth looked at the other male in the middle of them she found that he was already in another kind of precarious situation...
It seemed that Gamora had taken their moment of tension to get up close to Peter with a hidden dagger at his neck. Annabeth wondered where that blade had come from, but seeing as the other woman was an assassin she wouldn't be surprised if there were an absurd amount of hidden blades and weapons on their person at all times. Annabeth let her dagger made of fire dissipate into nothingness and watched as the woman interrogated the poor soul in-front of her.
"So. Can you tell me why you let me here with him of all people without saying anything or even waiting a moment for us to get back to the ship?"
"I--There's a perfectly good explanation for that." The blade was pressed harder and Annabeth winced as a trickle of blood traveled down it's edge. "Um. I got a distress signal from deep space and seeing you were busy looking around with Drax and Groot I figured I could check it out real quick and be back before you knew I had left."
"I was on my way back to the ship when you left, and you were able to clearly see me walking down this very catwalk when you passed by." Gamora growled and both Annabeth and Rocket snickered as Peter's face lost all color. Gamora held the blade there for a few moments longer before letting it down. "Never do it again."
"U-understood." He said and Annabeth leant over to Rocket.
"I see what you mean now." She said and Rocket nearly howled with laughter.
"Hey what did you just say to him?" He pointed at Annabeth and she just shrugged.
"Nothing of importance." She said, "Really."
"You--"
"And plus, with her skill I severely doubt that she would be interested in you." Gamora cut Peter off and he just exasperated, shocked.
