Request - Y/n and Kayce have 4 kids together as well as Tate (so 5 lol but its shared custody with Monica) and they find that they're struggling with taking them places because they don't have a big enough vehicle, so y/n wanted to get a big SUV as opposed to taking 2 trucks everywhere, but between the 5 kids, y/ns state job not making a lot of money, and the mortgage they were working to pay off, there was basically nothing left.

Y/n tells Kayce about how's she's feeling with the situation, and they have a big fight about money. Then maybe a week later (a week of silence and Kayce being gone a lot) Kayce pulls into the driveway in a white Chevy Suburban and Y/ns all confused until Kayce tells her that their family is more important and that he worked some overtime and sold his old Ford.

(Sorry for such a long request lol)

Basically, just really cute Kayce taking care of his family ❤️

Author's Note – Okay so kids' names will be as followed (yes, I took from previous one shots) – Tate (12), Tucker (8), Taytum (6), and twins Julie and June (4)

Saturday

"But why are we waiting for Dad?" Tate asked, standing next to you.

"Because I can't fit us all in my truck," You sighed, annoyed but not at Tate.

Right now, you, Tate, and Tucker were standing next to your truck. Your twins, Julie and June, were already in their car seats with the doors opened. You needed to head into town and drop the twins off at your parents house for the night and then take Tucker and Tate over to their archery lessons they took.

Kayce had Taytum with him, having needed to run over to a neighbor's ranch and help them with some problem that you barely listened to this morning when Kayce told you.

"We need a bigger car," Tate said, looking up to you.

"I know," You raised an eyebrow at him, finally hearing Kayce's truck pulling in. "Tell him that."

"Hey," Kayce rolled his window down, pulling up next to you. "What?"

"I've been waiting for twenty minutes," You sighed. "Tucker and Tate are gonna be late and we were late last week."

"Sorry, babe," Kayce turned his truck off. "Taytum was playing with some of the Michelson's goats, and it was hard to wrangle her."

"Oh? Your one kid was hard?" You couldn't help but roll your eyes.

Kayce looked at you and chose not to respond.

"Tate, Tuk...get in and I'll take you to your class," Kayce nodded.

Tucker ran to the other side while Tate glanced up at you, almost concerned if he should go due to the argument that was brewing between you and Kayce.

"See you after your class," You pushed his hair back before turning to shut the back door of your own truck.

"I came meet you with Tay for a late lunch?" Kayce asked and you looked back at him.

"I need to get groceries," You sighed. "And I can't fit groceries and kids in here...so I'll need to come back here and then pick up the boys."

"I'm just trying to add something pleasant in here," Kayce shrugged.

"And I'm trying to work with what I've got," You said before opening your driver's seat.

"What do you want, Y/N?" Kayce asked.

"I want a car that'll fit my family," You snapped. "But with our mortgage and paychecks...we'd have to give up something and what is there to give up?"
