─ ❝ NOW'S NOT REALLY THE TIME, SPIDER-MAN! ❞

CASEY DIDN'T KNOW WHICH WAS WEIRDER — THE SUIT ITSELF, OR the fact that she was actually wearing it. She wouldn't dare say that the highly advanced technology felt normal for her to be wearing in any way whatsoever, but it wasn't like anything else she'd ever worn.
Clothes you often had to grow into or cinch, and there were almost always imperfections. But this was...
She had been staring at herself in the mirror for the past ten minutes, turning and nearly breaking her neck trying to take it all in. It fit like a glove on her.
Well, it was specially made for her. Call it high-tech tailoring. Did Tony take her measurements while he was in her room?
She tilted her head as she experimented with its flexibility, extending her arms and fingers, wiggling them around. The web-like designs on the material was lifted on her fingertips, she figured to give her more of a grip when she scaled the walls. Which was an outrageous statement in itself.
Her mask remained perfectly intact no matter how much she scrunched her nose underneath it, as did the tiny earpiece that came with it. She still didn't know how that worked. Tony didn't provide the extra luxury of any instruction or explanation manuals.
Casey's eyes raked down her own body, its form now unbelievably emphasized in the suit. Truthfully, she'd never really examined it before. Who knew she was well on the way to a six pack? And not to mention her boobs — holy crap, had she gone up a cup—?
"Hey, kid!" Happy's voice pierced her rather thoughtful silence and she nearly stumbled over herself as embarrassment washed over her.
"Jesus Christ," Casey hissed under her breath, yanking her mask down to her throat. "What?" The girl snapped, still reeling from her shame of indirectly getting caught ogling herself. Immediate regret followed when Happy didn't reply right away, but she was still too irritated to apologize.
She could've sworn she heard the man mumble a curse on her entire bloodline before he said, "Get downstairs, the show's about to start."
Ah, the show. Meaning the fucking fight of her life she was about to endure against the goddamn Avengers. She didn't even know the lineup yet. All she knew was that Captain America was smack dab on the top of it, for all she knew, she could be up against Thor, too.
Nah, they'd never do that to her.
Right?

AS HUMILIATING AS THE EMERGENCY EXIT ESCAPE WAS IN "COSTUME," Casey's face had never burned a brighter red than when she climbed into the shuttle to find Tony Stark, Black Widow, and another suited man already in there.
It felt like something close to an interrogation. Casey's fingers instinctively lifted to press the mask firm against the bridge of her nose.
She waited uncomfortably for one of the two Avengers to speak first while examining the third one out of the corner of her eye.
