THE KING FAMILY didn't need to see the Welcome to Forks sign to know they had entered the small town they had once called home, the hard rain and constant greenery was a sign itself.

And as Aspen laid her head back against her seat, watching as the raindrops fell down her window while mentally placing bets on which one would win the race to reach the window seal,  she couldn't help but let a small, real smile fall on her face.

And as her parents watched her from the rearview mirror, they did the same.

"I've missed it here." The youngest King said softly, surprising her parents as she hadn't spoken since they left San Francisco.

"Me too." Kimberly said, turning her head and shooting her daughter a beautiful smile. "Have you talked to Bella any? Charlie had mentioned she moved back about two months ago."

"Yeah." Aspen nodded. "I've talked to her."

Due to Ben King being best friends with Charlie Swan, and Kimberly being just as close with Bella's mother Renee, Aspen had known Bella basically her whole life.

Even after Renee and Bella had left Forks, the two girls had still kept in contact. Even visiting each other every once in a while. And the King family's move to San Francisco never changed that.

And even though the two girls had absolutely nothing in common, other than their love of books, they had always been as close as sisters.

When Aspen fell pregnant, Bella was the first person she had called. She knew Bella wouldn't judge her or call her crude things like most of her school would once the pregnancy was impossible to hide.

And she had been right. Bella stayed on the phone with the girl for three hours that night to help try to keep her calm. And then she flew to San Francisco and held her had as Aspen broke the life changing news to not only her parents, but Milo's father as well.

When Milo was born, other than Ben and Kimberly, Bella was the first to walk, or more like trip, into the hospital room carrying a small stuffed rabbit and a big blue balloon that had the words It's a Boy printed across the front. And Aspen would never forget the pin that was clipped to the front of Bella's flannel that read Worlds Best Aunt.

At Milo's memorial, Bella was the one to hold Aspen as she fell apart on the cold bathroom floor. Playing with her hair to calm her down and even crying herself at the loss of the young boy she had considered her nephew.

Bella had always been there for Aspen, and it was the same the other way around. Nothing was ever going to change that.

"Do you want to go see her?" Ben said, knocking Aspen out of her thoughts as she met his eyes in the rearview mirror. "I was thinking about stopping at Charlie's to thank him for giving me my job back before we went to the house."

"Yeah, that would be nice." Aspens nodded. "I have to give her something anyways."

"Good, because we're here." Ben gave her a small smirk, watching as she glanced out the window with wide eyes, she had been so lost in her head that she hadn't even noticed they had went the opposite way of their old home.

Before Aspen could even respond, Bella had appeared outside of her window with a wide smile on her face.

But before she could even smile back Bella ate dirt, tripping over her own two left feet and face planting on the ground outside of the Kings car.

"Bella, oh my god!" Aspen gasped as she hurriedly got out of the car, ready to help her friend up.

Bella picked her head up, her face as red as a tomato in embarrassment. The blush on her cheeks only grew darker as Aspen howled in laughter after seeing that her friend was okay.
