The pact was sealed, the surrender was signed. From the wall they were peeping around, the brothers saw their father and Imperial signing the surrender.
*Timeskip to a few moments later*
"WHY DID YOU SURRENDER? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? DID YOU FORGET ABOUT YOUR PROMISE TO HELP US?"
"Temasek, there was no better option. all our soldiers are either severely injured or dead and the whole island is under Japanese control."
Singapore could only stand there helplessly and watch his brother and father argue with each other, he had never seen Temasek this angry before. When there was a moment of silence between the two fighting parties, he finally spoke.
"Will you at least come back for us?"
Both father and brother looked at him. Singapore had always been known as the weak-hearted, coward-like younger brother, and yet he had the courage to speak up.
"I do not know when I will come back, but I promise that I will, Singapore."
