Kinda a request by my friend Dima, he doesn't have an account here tho so can't tag him, hiiii Dimaaa.
I'll be using they/them for Romania mostly but there will be times I use he and she too. 
And for some context in my AU Serbia's parents are Kingdom of Romania and Yugoslavia, so Serbia and Romania are somewhat siblings.
Main characters:
Bulgaria: cisgender girl (she/her)
Romania: genderfluid (they/he/she)

Today was like any other day for Bulgaria, she was working at her job as a car mechanic trying her best to focus yet she felt like she was forgetting something... she just couldn't place her finger on it.
Sighing Bulgaria decided to take a small break, going out from under the car she was working on she looked at her phone to check the time.
"About an hour or so left.." She mumbled to herself. "Lovely."
Letting out another tired sigh she made her way to the bathroom to wash her hands so she could drink some water and relax a bit before getting back to work. Little did she know two countryhumans had different plans for her.
"Alright, my dear third wheel, time to execute our plan!" Whisper yelled the first one, the other one sighing in annoyance.
"Don't fucking call me that, for fucks sake..." The second countryhuman grumbled.
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say 'boss'." The first countryhuman teased, doing air quotes at the word 'boss', making the second one let out another annoyed sigh. 
As Bulgaria made her way out of the bathroom she picked up the water bottle and drank some water before sitting down and closing her eyes in pure tiredness as she tried her best to relax, that was until she suddenly felt hands on her face making her gasp out in surprise. 
"Who the fuck is there?!" She yelled out in panic trying to wiggle free.
When she finally managed that she grabbed the nearest thing she could which happened to be a screwdriver and tried to swing it at the 'attacker' who quickly dodged with an "ACK" sound coming out of their mouth and heard another voice grumble something in annoyance. Wait... she recognised those voices. 
"Romania?! Serbia?! What the fuck guys!" She yelled out in anger before realizing she might've hurt her significant other.
"Oh goodness! Darling are you okay?!" She ran over to Romania quickly checking them over. 
"I'm fine!" They giggled out at her concern making the Bulgarian roll her eyes.
"What's the meaning of all this, you scared me half to death, Romania!" She scolded them and then turned to Serbia.
"And you, I expect this behaviour from Roma but you Bia?! Seriously?" She said making hand gestures in pure annoyance.
The Serb just shrugged his shoulders before looking at the Romanian countryhuman and glaring at them.
"He's the one that convinced me it was a good idea, don't blame me." 
"Hey! You agreed to it!" The Romanian protested as she glared back. 
"My goodness quit glaring at each other, I swear you two act like such siblings..." The Bulgarian stated as both just stared at her with bored expressions.
"Oh.. right your parents had s-" The Bulgarian was cut off by Romania coughing loudly, taking the hint she shut her mouth. 
"Anyways haha.." Romania started before looking into their bag and pulling out a small box. "Happy birthday, Garia!" 
Serbia pulled out a box from his pocket too and extended his hand to his friend to take it. 
"Wha... ohH THAT'S WHAT I FORGOT ABOUT!" Bulgaria said laughing as the other two stared in confusion.
"You-" Serbia began but was cut off by Romania. "You forgot your birthday?!" She finished as Serbia grumbled out "Rude asshole", Romania pretending to not hear however as they stared at their girlfriend. 
"Hehe uhm... yeahh." She chuckled awkwardly. "But hey you two remembered! Thank you!" She said happily at her significant other and her friend.
"Here ya go, honey!" Romania said handing her a small box.
"Thanks, darling." As she opened it her eyes sparkled, inside was a silver ring with a flower on it. 
"Aww, thank youu." She went over and gave Romania a quick kiss as Serbia made a gagging noise at the two.
"Damn gay people and your gayness." Serbia joked.
"Hey man, self hatred isn't good for the soul." Romania said in a serious tone as Bulgaria just nodded. It took Serbia a few seconds to register what he had just heard but when he did he looked away grumbling curses under his breath making the other two countryhumans giggle like a bunch of idiots. 
"Take the damn gift and shut up already." Serbia sighed handing Bulgaria the gift.
"Thanks, Bia." As she opened it she saw a silver necklace with yet another flower.
"Did you two plan this??" Bulgaria asked giggling slightly.
"Nope, we just both know how much you love flowers I guess." Romania stated cheerfully.
"Mhm.." Serbia hummed. 
"That's so sweet of you guys, thank you again." Shs said opening her arms inviting the two for a hug which Romania jumped at and Serbia slowly joined in. 
"You guys are the best." Bulgaria said hugging the taller countryhumans.
"Hell yeah, I'm an awesome partner and Bia here is an awesome third wheel!" Romania yelled out making Bulgaria laugh as Serbia broke from the hug and Romania ran away screaming from the angry Serb. 
"You bitch, I said don't call me a third wheel!" 
"Too bad you asshole, cuz it's what you fucking are!!" 
"Ohoho, I see how it is!" As Serbia sped up his pace so did Romania as they screeched at Bulgaria for help. 
Bulgaria just watched the two siblings amused not bothering to help her partner knowing he'd be fine. 
"What a chaotic way to celebrate a birthday." She giggled to herself. "At least I got these idiots to cheer me up from a bad day." She smiled as she made her way to a pinned down Romania screeching at Serbia to let them go. 
'Wouldn't have it any other way.' She thought to herself, walking over to help Romania.
