Suddenly a humongous mana signature appeared out of nowhere, the only time I've sensed something similar was that one time Jade allowed his mana signature to be sensed freely, I looked around and I saw that Aya, Bunhd and Priscilla sensed it too, the mana signature was enormous to say the least, enormous and familiar, it was a mana signature I've perceived countless times in the past and one I didn't sense in years, I allowed the faintest glimmer of hope ignite in me as I shot up from my seat and rushed out of the room

"Father?!"

"Virion?!"

Ignoring Alduin and Blaine I quickly ran towards the teleportation room, Aya was at my side, by the time we arrived I could see the guards were all in high-alert weapons drawn and pointed against the intruder

"You! Identify yourself now!" the captain of the guards yelled at him

The intruder just stood still, perfectly calm despite the 30 something elite battlemages ready to attack him, he had long auburn hair loosely tied behind his back, gleaming azure eyes that were coldly scanning the room, the moment his eyes met mine they brightened up and a smile appeared on his face

"Hey gramps, it's been awhile"

At those words I started walking towards him shoving aside the guards that were between us and gave him a bear hug

"It's you, it really is you Arthur" I said

"Yep, I'm back, sorry if it took so long but the asuras' training took more time than I expected" he replied

I broke the hug and hold his shoulders taking in just how much he grew up in the last 5 years, his voice was a lot deeper now having lost the childish pitch that always belittled his internal maturity, he was also a lot taller, before he barely reached my shoulders, now he was slightly taller than me

"Commander, who is this young man?" the captain of the guards asked me, all of them were still on high-alert weapons drawn and I couldn't understand why, if Arthur was hostile he would have killed us all already the simple fact that we were all still alive was proof he didn't have any ill intent, then it clicked his pressure, this humongous pressure is keeping them on their toes

"Papa, withdraw your aura" a childish high-pitched voice resounded and I noticed the little girl standing at Arthur's side, she couldn't have been older than 10 and had long, pale, wheat-blonde hair with golden eyes that betrayed a maturity unfitting her childish appearance, she had two big horns sprouting from the side of her head and curving downwards tracing her jawline, she was wearing a jet-black dress that glimmered with every little movement and did she just call him papa?!

"Oh right, sorry, spend 5 years with a bunch of asuras and you kinda lose the habit of holding back" he apologized sheepishly

"Arthur, who's this little girl here?" I asked him

"This is Sylvie" Arthur stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world

"Sylvie? The dragon? You're telling me this little girl is the giant jet-black dragon that was your bond?"

"Yep, this is her, I know it's surprising and I guess I had the same expression you have right now when I found out about her humanoid form" he told me

"You know what, whatever I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore, between you and your brother this is probably the least crazy thing you'd told me" I said in a resigned tone

"ARTHUR!"

Reynolds and Alice's voices resounded as they struggled to make their way through the room still full of soldiers, I saw Arthur stiffen at his parents voices and I can't believe it but I could see a glint of fear in his eyes, I honestly never thought this brat could possibly be scared of anything
