It was not an uncommon thing to be hearing thunder all around inazuma. Courtesy of the Almighty Raiden Shogun. To the (insane) believers. It seems like a blessing for them. 
Today however. Was a day of the unexpected. The veil of eternity is going to be changed. 
By an innocent young slime. Of course.
The veil of eternity is everything to the Shogun and her followers. She enforces that veil with all her soul and heart. She told herself that this would grant happiness to all of inazuma. Not noticing the amount of those who suffered because of it.
This time. She has recognized a threat to that veil. She couldn't pinpoint where it is. All she knew it was in inazuma. But that isn't enough to go through. With many cave systems in the nation. It's impossible to find it. For all we know it could be everywhere in the country.
Then she heard a certain puppet that she was finding as well pray to her. It was.... Certainly surprising.
Not because she knows he hates her. No she does not know that. But the amount of emotion he poured in the prayer was.....overflowing. The emotion had an outstanding amount of good......things? Ei doesn't know what the emotion means but she concluded it was good. Ei also deduced that perhaps the "threat to eternity" is with him. She does not have any logical explanation yet she feels as if  the situation was the statement based up there.
She sought to find an answer to the situation. So she motioned her aides and tells them that she wishes to explore inazuma for awhile. The aides being the loyal subjects that they are retorted at first.
"Your Excellency! You must not!"
"What if your Excellency gets attacked?! I could not imagine a life for me in the future!"
Ei only commanded them to stop their yapping and get back to their positions. She does not need protection. Ei felt offended at the aide that believed she could get harmed in her walk. 
Nonetheless. She successfully walked out of Tenshekaku without further problems.
She now is going to find the puppet and hopefully. The "threat of eternity"

Kunikuzushi felt like something was amiss. There was something in the back of his mind shouting at him to protect the slime from the (upcoming?) Danger.
The lightning was getting louder and louder as time went on.
The slime holded up in the foundation without knowing what's outside for far too long grew more scared. The slime compared it with its sibling. Scp 682's roars.
Kunikuzushi felt the need to tuck the slime into a blanket he bought from a shop. It was supposed to be a makeshift bed for the slime so it could rest. But he covered them with it because he felt like he needs to hide them from something or someone.....
"Hey.... Can you sleep in for the day?" Kunikuzushi said softly.
Kunikuzushi knew the slime understood him but they cannot talk to him.
999 has an established sleep cycle. Sleeping in early has side effects to them. So they slowly turned their head from left to right. "Slowly" because they felt bad saying no to his question. 
"Okay.... But stay in place..please....? For me?" The amount of worry and desperation he has in his tone concerned the slime.
The slime looked at him with questioning looks.
Kunikuzushi felt the need to clarify. "It's just that I felt something wrong. Like there's a danger looming around trying to find us...."
"I just feel like I'm going to lo-" Kunikuzushi was cutoff by the sudden influx of emotions running through him with 999 touching him.
999 silently assured him that everything will be fine. After all. A child of the Scarlet King and the prophesied Savior of humanity will never die.
Kunikuzushi hugged the slime wholeheartedly. A hope in his entire existence.
"I have finally found you."
Kunikuzushi's eyes widened and darted to the source of the voice. There stood the person he previously hated. With long violet hair tied up as a long braid. 
"Mother..." He looked at his creator not with eyes of contempt but with eyes of longing and love.
