COLE
Tonight was the night.
I was going to ask Kimberly to be my girlfriend and I'm fucking scared.
I haven't had a relationship for years but with Kimberly, it feels like she's already my girlfriend. I'm committed to her in so many different ways and I want her to know that I want all of her. I don't ever want her to think that I'm just using her for sex.
I knock on her front door and her dad opens it. He looks down at the daisies in my hands. "Her favourite flowers," he whispers.
I smile gently at him. "She deserves the best." I tell him quietly.
She deserves someone who knows her favourite colour or someone who memorized her phone number on the first day she gave it to him, someone who knows her favourite flowers. She deserves someone who knows her and it could be me. I want it to be me.
"Tonight the night, huh?" he asks, leaning against the doorframe.
I let out a nervous chuckle. "Yeah." I whisper. "Tonight's the night."
"Dad who's at the-" Her sentence gets cut off when she sees me and when I see her, I can't even speak. She looked stunning. She wore a black dress with her red heels that I fucking adored. Her hair was out and in waves down her back. Her lips were glistening with gloss.
Perfection.
She was perfect.
The most perfect girl I had ever seen."Cole." she finally breathes out, smiling at me. "You're here."
I walk inside her house and she smiles when she sees the flowers. "You remembered," she whispers when I hand over the flowers.
"I recall everything you tell me." I tell her.
She smiles and I nearly leant down to kiss her but her dad clears his throat. I look back at him before murmuring a curse under my breath. "Do I look okay?" she asks, forcing my attention back to her. "It's not too much, is it?" she asks, a crease in her brows.
"You look perfect, Kimberly. As always."
Her cheeks go red and I laugh slightly. Watching her cheeks go red was my favourite thing to see.
I hold my hand out. "Should we go?" I ask. She places her small hand in mine and I tighten my grip. "Yes."
Before we could leave, her mum appeared from the living room. "I want a picture." she says.
Kimberly groans but I laugh. "Mum please." she begs.
"I want a picture too." I say. Kimberly looks up at me glaring and I smile down at her. I wrap an arm around her, pulling her closer as her mum takes her pictures.
"Alright. I'll see you guys later." she says. "Can you put these in a vase?" she asks her dad, handing over the flowers. He nods and smiles at her, taking the flowers out of her hand.
We leave the house and we get in my car. "So where are we going?" she asks.
"You'll see." I say, smirking.
All I can say is I'm relieved she made a good impression on my dad or else none of this would've worked.

KIMBERLY
Cole was driving for a while with his hand on my bare thigh. We approach a random street and he parks up. "Let's go."
I take off my seatbelt before getting out of the car. "Where?"
He grabs my hand as we walk. "I'll show you."
