Request - I would love to read a 2nd part of the gender reveal story! The baby was just born in the hospital and Tate and Tucker have a change of heart after their baby sister is born.

Reminder - Reader and Kayce have Tate, Tucker, Taytum, and now Baby #4 :)

It was quiet.

To almost everyone else, that would be something normal. But not for you. You couldn't remember the last time you had even thought of "it's quiet."

Your eyes opened up slowly as your vision came into focus. It was cool in the room, the low beeping sound from the monitor next to your bed the only thing you could hear.

Taking a deep breath, you looked around some, everything coming back to you in an instant. Your eyes drifted over to the large windows off to the left side of the room. It was a rainy day, so the clouds gave off a calming hue to the room. But your eyes were more focused on the figure standing in front of the window.

Kayce's back was to you, and a quick glance at the empty bassinet next to your hospital bed told you that your brand-new daughter was most likely in his arms. He was gently swaying as his neck was bent forward.

You leaned up to a sitting position when you heard his low mumbles. Kayce was whispering something to your daughter and even though you had two children with the man before, it still made your chest constrict.

Relaxing back against your pillows you sighed loud enough so Kayce heard. His head turned to look over his shoulder at you, a smile on his lips.

"I think Momma is awake," Kayce turned, and you saw the small, pink bundle in his arms.

"Sorry," Yu yawned as Kayce walked over to you.

"Don't be," Kayce sat down on the bed next to you. "We were just catching up."

"Hmmm," You leaned against Kayce's shoulder, looking down at your daughter. "Lord only knows what trouble the two of you will cause."

Kayce kissed your forehead.

"I'm sure you'll keep us in line, baby," Kayce mumbled against your skin.

The two of you spent another hour together, bonding with the new little life you brought into this world. Four was your limit. You had told Kayce early on that if you could have four, that would be your max. And now, your family was perfectly complete in your eyes.

A knock at the door made you both look up. Kayce had given you your daughter to feed and you had just finished up. Tate and Tucker's heads popped through the door, both wide-eyed and smiling. The door swung open more and John stood there with Taytum in his arms.

"Held 'em off as long as I could," John said as they all piled in.

"There are my boys," you smiled as Tate and Tucker came up to the side Kayce was sitting on.

Kayce stood up, picking up Tucker to place him next to you while Tate leaned on his fists against the mattress.

"Thanks," Kayce took Taytum from John, planting a loud kiss against her cheeks causing the little girl to giggle.

"How ya doing, Y/N?" John asked.

"Better now," You smiled, pushing Tucker's hair back from his face. "You wanna meet your newest granddaughter?"

"Let's see," John walked over and looked down at the bassinet. "She's perfect, Y/N."

"We think so," You smiled.

"What's her name?" Tate asked.

You glanced at Kayce who was smiling at you.

"Well," You said. "Your Dad and I were thinking we liked the name Teagan...what do you think of that?"

"Teagan?" Tate asked and you nodded.

"I like it," Tucker pipped up, making the adults laugh.

"Yeah?" You wrapped an arm around Tucker.

"I like Teagan," Tate echoed. "We can call her Tea for short."

"Tea?" You giggled, but Tate had already made his way around the bed to stand next to John and lean over his little sister.

"Hey Tea," Tate whispered.

"Hey Tea!" Tucker repeated.

Your eyes found Kayce who was rocking Taytum side to side, his lips pressed against her forehead as she laid against his neck. He smiled at you, and you felt tears come to your eyes.

"You got more responsibility now, Tate," John said, nudging Tate's shoulder.

"I know," Tate hadn't taken his eyes off Teagan. "I can handle it."

"Alright," John glanced at Kayce. "I'll take this lot back to the ranch...we'll come back in the morning."

"Can you handle them all?" You asked, nervous for John to watch Tate, Tucker, and Taytum by himself.

"Lynette is, uh...at the ranch," John cleared his throat and you immediately relaxed.

"Good," You pressed a kiss to Tucker's forehead. "I love you, baby."

"Love you, Momma," Tucker leaned into you.

Your eyes met Tate's and you opened your arm for him to walk over and wrap his arms around your neck gently. You kissed the side of Tate's head, not being able to reach higher.

"Thank you for being my helper with your siblings," You whispered to him. "I love you."

"Love you," Tate mumbled into your neck as he squeezed a little tighter.

Tucker crawled off the bed, so you wrapped your other arm around Tate and held him a little bit longer. While Tate was not yours biologically, he was still your first and the bond between the two of you was unmatched by anything else.

"I like her," Tate whispered.

"Me too," You smiled and pulled back slowly, your hand coming up to rub his cheek. "Help your grandpa, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am," Tate nodded.

"One more," Kayce leaned down with Taytum, and you placed several kisses against her cheeks, making the little girl giggle.

Tate went down and helped John get the kids into the truck while you relaxed some, waiting for Teagan to wake up or need changing. Sure, she was less than a day old, but the girl was a chill baby so far.

The nurses came in and made Kayce a cot up next to your bed and by the time Kayce got back you were flipping through one of the magazines...Teagan was still fast asleep.

"She sleeps like her Momma," Kayce chuckled.

"I'll remind you of that when she's waking you up at two in the morning," You rolled your eyes.

"She's pretty perfect," Kayce said softly.

You looked up from the magazine at him.

"Yeah," You nodded. "You did good, Dutton."

"Did?" Kayce eyed you. "You did all the work."

"You played a part," You giggled.

"My part was small in comparison, baby," Kayce came over and sat down on the bed, looking at you.

You gave Kayce a tired smile, setting the magazine down on the table next to your bed.

"I think Tate and Tucker might have turned over a new leaf with Teagan," You shrugged.

"I knew they'd get over it," Kayce nodded. "Here in a few years, they'll all be running wild over the ranch."

"I wish they'd stay that little," Your eyes glanced to Teagan. "They won't let me love on them when they get too big."

"Then you can get back to loving on me," Kayce leaned in, his lips coming close to yours.

"I think we've proved that I love on you," You laughed. "We have a whole motley crew now to prove that!"

"And don't you forget it," Kayce kissed you softly.
