Paralluelo had better acceleration but burnt out quicker, and Kaia had a slower start but better durability and top speed.

Jonatan took a note of that.

The thing is that Kaia is 'fitter' than the teenager and she had a better understanding of her body and the best techniques having been the willing running in her teams for over four years. At this point she's a seasoned and conditioned athlete, barely anyone can reach her level physically.

So it was kind of unfair.

"Why you bet against her, I will never know." Mapi chuckles to the two midfielders.

Kaia's pace is superhuman fast. Her nickname Spitfire literally derives from her speed and deadliness at that pace.

"Damn it." Aitana slaps her hand against her other one with a sigh.

"You're fast." Salma says to Kaia through a pant. "Too fast."

"What were our speeds?" Kaia asks the trainer behind the camera, knowing her and Salma had a similar speed.

"Salma; 20.7 miles an hour. And Kaia; 21.3 miles an hour." He answers.

"Causally running the speed of a cruising car." Keira huffs to herself, making those around her laugh.

On September 17th, Barcelona were lining up in the Estadi Johan Cruyff for the first league game- against the same team they beat last month on penalties.

Granadilla Tenerife.

With Mapi not in defence (but on the bench) and Alexia not in midfield, it meant Keira was getting her first start and Laia Codina was being thrown right back into the team after her loan return.

Over summer, Barcelona's home changing room had a bit of an update, they layout stayed the same because it was working, but they got new dark red leather seats in each of their cubbies, and above each of their lockers was their name and shirt number, with the year they joined the club in the bottom right corner of the board.

The main wall by the door also had a beautiful mural painted on it, goal celebrations and moments on the pitch for most of them, the figures were filled in dark blue to make them silhouettes but their numbers and names are on their back if they picture shows them from behind.

María León 4 with her arms up after scoring again Real Madrid at Camp Nou, Alexia 11 dribbling around someone skilfully, Engen 23 beating someone in the air to a header and Aitana 14 battling someone off the ball. All the other figures were from the front, but they could tell who they all were.

It made it really feel like home, the little details to give the place it's personality and make them all feel part of the team.

As last time taught them, they'll need to be patient to break down their opponents today. They need to take chances and not give away sloppy passes, so having both Patri and Keira in midfield gave them that 'middle of the park' control and composure.

The two of them strung passes together and most of the positive plays went through one of them. But once again, the physicality was a lot for Keira and she found herself being slower than her teammates, physically and mentally. It also didn't help seeing how calm and at ease Lucy and Kaia were on and off the ball, they had true European football in their veins, whereas Keira was still very English and clean cut.
