╰┈➤ The alarm waking me up at 7 am on my first day at my new school? Not my favourite way to wake up. Oh and by alarm, I mean Peter Parker and his saucepan drum solo in my ears.
"Jeez, Pete I'm up! I'm up!" Trying to push him away didn't work.
"Rangerrr~ Get ready for school~" Peter sang straight into my ear. Picking up a glass of water from my bedside table, I hurled it at the singing, dancing man who was cascading around my bedroom like a madman.
"Hey, hey no need to get feisty, kid. Get up, okay, I, and by 'I' I mean MJ, made breakfast." And with that he left the room. Said room was covered in clothes that should've been packed the night before but clearly weren't.
"Alexa, play 'Come and get your love'"

Shuffling around, I showered, got dressed in my new uniform (freshly ironed by yours truly might I add) and did my hair. I sighed as I looked over at the pile of clothes on my 'floordrobe' before aggressively shoving them into a plain black suitcase covered in rock band stickers.

"MJ, these waffles are amazing, please bring me some to keep me alive when I'm at that hellhole of a school."
"Thanks Angie, and don't say that, I'm sure you'll have a great time there, 'kay?"
"You know you're the only one I will ever let call me Angie, 'ight?" I said, pointing my fork over to her.
Peter walks into the kitchen, hand on his heart in a mock offense, "You take that back... Angie"
"I hate you both," I murmured before checking the time, "Shit! I gotta go! Love you guys!"
"Watch your language there! You sure you don't want me to drop you off?" Peter said before I walked out of the door.
"I'll walk, love you, bye!"

"Dad are you serious?"
"I wanna hear it."
"You wanna hear me say it-"
"-I love you, Dad."
"-You're dropping me off at a school-"
"-I love you, Dad."
"Look at this place-"
"Dad, I love you"Ranger watched the interaction between the boy and his father as she walked up to the school's entrance, she watched as the boy threw his head back and sighed in defeat,
"Dad... I love you."
"That's a copy. Tie your shoes please!" Through the window of the cop car, she could see that the boy's father looked victorious, whereas the boy himself looked widely embarrassed, understandably considering the whole school had just watched his encounter with his father. Judging by the fact that he had a suitcase by his side, it was safe to say he, too, was a new student, just like Ranger.ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-15:12 pm
In her last class of the day, Ranger sat doodling in the back of the classroom, while some documentary about Alchemax was playing. She didn't feel like watching, it made her think about the day she was bitten, a day she'd rather not think about. She was brought back to reality by the sound of the classroom door opening, a boy silhouetted just by the doorway. Ms Calleros began to speak in a not so pleased tone,
"Mr. Morales, moving in the dark. You're late again."Morales, as she called him quipped back, "Einstein said time was relative, right? Maybe I'm not late. Maybe you guys are early." The boy's joke is met with unamused silence. Except for a single chuckle from a blonde girl who was sat directly in front of me.
The boy took a seat at the empty desk beside me. Ranger then recognised him as the boy from the morning, the whole 'I love you, Dad' thing. The blonde girl leans backwards to Morales. She whispers to him, "I liked your joke"
"Really?" He perked up at her comment.
"I mean, it wasn't funny, that's why I laughed. But it was smart, so I liked it."
They tried to continue speaking but that was cut short when the teacher 'shushed' them.
Ranger began writing on the back of one of her doodles,
'Hey, Morales right? Nice joke, if it's worth anything I liked it, it was funny lol. I'm Ranger Thompson'
She slid it over to the boy, trying her best to not be noticed by Ms. Calleros. The boy noticed the piece of paper along with the fingers sliding it over to him. He looked over at the girl, in the dark of the classroom he couldn't see much, besides her mid length hair, it was a dark brown, or maybe that was because of the dark lighting of the room. He looked down at the paper, before not-so-quietly ripping a piece of paper out of his own notebook and writing.
Ranger saw a slip of paper make its way onto her desk in the form of a scrunched up ball, she opened it up and read his message written with surprisingly neat handwriting,
'Yeah, I'm Miles, cool name btw. You're new right? Me too, it's nice not being the only one :)'
The dark-haired girl looked over at Miles and mouthed a 'Thanks' in return to his compliment about her name. He winked at her in response. Ranger was glad the room was dark because she couldn't help the blush that crept onto her cheeks. Again he mouthed to her, 'Friends?' and with a newfound confidence, Ranger, too, responded with a wink, before turning back to the documentary playing for the class.
