Amelia was freezed in her place. Her eyes at the end of the hall, where he sat, regally on a chair, cladded in a suit. His eyes were already on her, not wavering.

Luke grabs Amelia's wrist and pulls her away. Amelia's eyes, still on him, so were his as Luke pulled her away. They finally were out of the hall and Luke takes her back to the room, oblivious to Amelia's stupefied figure. Pearson closes the door behind them.

Luke signs, “That was epic.”

He is here.

“Pearson, I will get changed in another room. Help Amelia change.” Luke says to Pearson. He pecks Amelia's forehead and leaves.

He is here.

“Amelia, I guess I left your dress in the car. I will bring it from the car. Wait for me here.” Pearson asserts. She eyes Amelia's dazed eyes as Amelia is lost in thoughts. But when Amelia absent minded nods her head, Pearson leaves to retrieve the dress from the car.

‘He is here. He is in that hall. He was in the same room as I.’ Amelia thought. Her eyes water up. ‘He was there in front of her after 3 years.’

After minutes the door banged open.

“Amelia.”

As soon as the hoarse voice of Agastya hit Amelia's ear drums, she stiffened. More tears gathered up in her eyes. Her heartbeat quickened.

He is really here.

“Amelia,” Agastya again called.

And without thinking much Amelia takes off, bypassing his figure without looking up, her breath hitches as she passes by him. She bangs open the door and runs away. Outside of that suffocating room.

And when the fresh air of the night hit her figure she stopped her running. Her heart beated so loudly that she could hear it in her ears.

She looked up at the dark and ominous clouds that had engulfed the whole sky in a complete darkness and were ready to shower ruthless rain on the world. The thunder roared in the sky and gave a few seconds of light in their wake.

Anyone could tell a severe storm was brewing. And in no minute the whole world will get hit with a ruthless storm drenching everyone who comes in their contact.

A water dropped on Amelia's forehead. Her eyes blank as she tries to reason what she saw minutes ago in the party and whatever she saw was reality and not her mind playing games just like how it played when he left her. Because she had forgotten his face. She has forgotten the texture, the curves, the slopes of his face. She believed that she would not recognise him even if he passed by her in a crowded place. He would be like a stranger to her. But how wrong she was. It took her a few seconds to recognise his face.

She was not ready for this. She never was and this incident was proof of that. She had gotten accustomed to her life but now it is ruined just because of his one glimpse.

Her body tensed up when she felt his eyes on her. She can never forget the sensation of his gaze. Her stomach turning and churning in a knot. She gulped down the knot that had formed in her neck.

His gaze had always given butterflies in her belly in the past but now all she could feel was some heaviness, hate and mostly hurt.

Another water dropped on her cheek and in no minute sharp water drops started falling on her. She closed her eyes as she let herself get drenched under the shower.

“You will get sick.”

Instantly her heart quivered in pain as soon as her ear took on his gruff voice amidst the ruthless rain. She clenched her palm in a fist. Her body tensed up when she felt him behind her.
