I looked down at my test and read some of the questions. This was easy, I'm honestly surprised that the questions weren't harder. Aren't all of these people supposed to be really smart?
I answered all of the questions with ease before remembering that I couldn't just get all of the right. I went back and erased some of my answers randomly and filled in the wrong ones, making sure I still scored high enough but not too high where it looked suspicious.
I looked around the room when I finished and saw that everyone else was working on it m, thoroughly reading of of the information they were given.
"Oh wow, what the fuck is all this." I heard Mina whisper under her breath exasperatedly. I discretely tapped her paper where the answer was, making her look up at me confused.
My eyes scanned the room again, seeing Mic and Eraserhead seated at the desk in the middle of the room not paying attention.
"This one." I whispered as quietly as I could so she understood. She quickly scribbled the answer down before moving along. I help her a few more times before I had waited long enough and walked to the proctors, handing in my paper.
"Wow that was fast kid! Thanks! You're free to go!" Mic dismissed as he looked over my paper. I proceeded to walk out of the room but not before accidentally making eye contact with Eraserhead. Crap.
"Hey wait a minute! Can I talk to you?" He said as he stood up fast, causing his chair to screech across the floor. Everyone looked up from their papers to see what the commotion was, making me feel like there was a huge spotlight on me.
"Um yeah." I whispered, trying not to keep the attention on us. I could still feel a few stares on us, two being Kat and the purple haired hottie from where I was before.
"Are you that kid?" He asked as I saw his eyes fill with an emotion I hadn't seen before. Maybe sadness mixed with a bit of relief.
"I'm not sure I'm following." I stated as I tried to walk out again. He grabbed my arm, pulling me back to him slightly before squeezing softly.
"Let's go for a walk." He said as he walked me out of the room. I locked eyes with Katsuki and saw his palms sparking. "Don't." I mouthed to him as I tried to calm him down. "I'll be fine." I reassured and faced forward again, briefly looking at Mysterio, before leaving. He seemed confused as he sat there, staring straight as us.
"Don't play dumb. Almost a decade ago there was a kid who ran off on my watch, was that you?" Eraserhead asked as we walked out of the doors to the outside. I breathed in the fresh air before answering him.
"Well yeah, but I'm good now I promise. I found a good family and I'm not living on the streets anymore." I answered honestly as he looked at me.
"That's good kid. How long were you on the streets?" He asked. I'm not sure why he cared all the much but continued to answer him.
"A few weeks or maybe a month?" I said as I rubbed the back of my neck. He nodded as he seemed in thought.
"I was scared you know? Why did you even run off anyway?" He asked as we arrived to a bench far away from the main building.
"Didn't want to live in a foster home." I replied with a shrug. He breathed a long sigh before turning towards me once again.
"I'm glad you're ok. That day I was going to take you home with me and you would've been a part of my family if you wanted to." He told me truthfully.
"That would've been cool but I like my family now so I'm not complaining." I said while I laughed softly.
We kept talking for a while longer before he got a call, telling him the second exam was going to start soon.
"Ok kid, time to go. Do your best and I'll be seeing you in class." He told me with a genuine smile. I grinned at him before rushing off, heading to one of the training grounds. I made it just in time to have heard the whole run down of what was going to happen.
This part of the exam was tough but I got through it with minor injuries. The biggest problem I ran into was a piece of metal falling quickly towards me but someone jumped high into the air and kicked it hard, sending it flying.
"Watch out dude, you could've gotten hurt!" The male shouted as he continued on. He had spiked up red hair and was wearing a small crop top with some sweatpants.
Eventually the exam ended and I had raked up quite a few points, definitely getting a pretty high score.
At the end of this all I was absolutely exhausted. Katsuki ended up wandering to me and we started our journey home. We were quiet for the most part, having been completely wiped out for the activities of today.
When we entered our house we were met with mom and dad in the living room. They excitedly came over and asked us questions that I answered for the most part before heading up to my room and taking a shower.
I sighed in relief as I felt the hot water cascade down my tense muscles. After I finished up, I headed over to my bed.
'Just a quick nap.' I thought as I laid down.
