That one question kept spinning around in Sarah's head the following days. Did Cedric love Cho? Could that be true? Or was she just overthinking? On another note, she was glad about her friends, and for having them around in a situation like this.
Sarah suspected Eve had searched Cedric up and talked to him after the fight they had, but Sarah herself hadn't seen Cedric since. It felt empty. Emptier, now that she knew he had hooked up with someone else, than it felt before she knew about that.
At lunchtime the following Saturday, Sarah and her friends as usual sat at the Slytherin table. She had a bowl of pumpkin soup in front of her, but mostly looked at it and whirled her spoon around in the orange liquid.
"Are you not hungry?" Eve asked her kindly.
Sarah sighed loudly and put her spoon down.
"I just don't have an appetite right now." she mumbled as a response. 
"I'm going to bed." she then added, stood up and began walking out from the great hall. What stopped her, was a sudden loud noice of someone clearing their voice.
"Hrm hrm... Hi sorry, is this working is a microphone? ...Okay, look I really suck, and I really fucked up."
Sarah turned, to face Cedric standing on top of the Hufflepuff dining table, holding his wand toward his throat so that he could be heard by everyone in the whole room.
Every single person in there looked at him, both students and teachers, but he was only looking at her. At Sarah. The silence that followed was eventually broken by Professor McGonagall.
"Please, Mr Diggory step down from the-"
"Professor I'm sorry, but there's just something I need to do." Cedric interrupted.
So many thoughts were going through Sarah's head at this point. What was Cedric up to? And why had he just been so rude to a teacher? It seemed so unlike him. Where the hell was he going with this?
"Sarah, look I don't really know how to make you accept my apology... But I love you and so here goes nothing...." He continued, and now everyone had turned towards her instead.
"Wheeeeen the rain is blowing in your face aaand the whole world is on your case. I could offer you a warm embrace, to make you feel my love." Cedric began, and Sarah gasped, because he was indeed singing. In front of the whole school, he stood at a dining table and singing, for her. Everyone was so silent, and Cedric cleared his throat and continued.
"When the evening shadows and the stars appear and there is no one there to dry your tears, I could hold you for a million years. To make you feel my love. I know you haven't made your mind up yet, but I would never do you wrong. I've known it from the moment that we met, no doubt in my mind where you belong." he sang.
Sarah looked over towards her friends, who looked right back at her.
"Oh my god!" Eve mimed at her.
"Forgive him!" Cherry mimed at the same time. Cedric for down from the table, and began walking in her direction, still singing.
"I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue. I'd go crawlin' down the avenue. No, there's nothin' that I wouldn't do, to make you feel my love. The storms are raging on the rollin' sea, and on the highway of regret. The winds of change are blowing wild and free, you ain't seen nothin' like me yet." Cedric now stood just a few meters away and Sarah still ju at stood there.
When he got to the last part, she still felt pure shock but also some sort of amazement.
"Sarah, I could make you happy, make your dreams come true. No there is nothing that I wouldn't do. I'd go to the ends of the Earth for you, just to make you feel my love." 
And then, silence followed, until other people started shouting.
"There's nothing he wouldn't do!"
"Forgive him or I will!"
"Don't you love him?!"
"Merlin's beard just kiss him!"
The shouts just went on and on and eventually Sarah just broke out in laughter.
So Sarah walked up to him, grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss. The room was instantly filled with applauses and cheering.
"You're absolutely insane!" she giggled at him.
"So be insane with me!" he responded. 
"Didn't say I didn't enjoy it!" Sarah then smiled.
"And that means?" Cedric asked.
"I love you." she smiled, and they kissed again.
"Diggory! Detention!" Professor Snape suddenly interrupted. The whole great hall started raising their voices and shouting towards the teachers.
"Not fair!" someone screamed.
"Oh come on!"
"Don't you believe in love!?"
"Leave him alone!"
"Let them be!"
"Okay okay okay." Snape muttered and sat down again and once again everyone began cheering.
Cedric took Sarah's hand and they together walked out of the great hall.
"I guess you don't love Cho then." Sarah smiled.
"Love Cho?! Are you insane? I've never said that I-" Cedric bursted out.
"No no, I suppose it was just my mind going crazy after everything I heard." Sarah explained.
"Honey, look." Cedric began, and they sat down on a bench in the corridor they walked through. 
"Cho was nothing. Literally." he explained. "At first I was just asking for help, and then we fell into old patterns or something."
"Help? With what?!" Sarah questioned and raised an eyebrow.
