Celine, despite herself, heads over. She says hi and introduces herself to others along the way, then is right in front of Rene. He's already catching up with the other guys, talking about old stories, the 'good days' as they talk back and forth. One of the members of the band motions to Celine and Rene lights up. "This is Celine, the singer I'm managing." Celine puts on her work smile, trying to push down the reminder that they're dating, that she's more than just a client. At the very least, he could have said friend, right? Even favorite singer would have been better. She swallows her frustration and tries to keep up with the names that are being thrown at her. When the guys turn to talk to some others, Rene leans towards her. "Are you having a good time?" "Perhaps I could steal you for a dance?" Celine asks barley over the music. Rene beams. "Of course. Excuse me gentlemen." The guys nod and Rene leads her to the dance floor. He sets up a wide frame, so they're not even close to touching. It's not intimate, it's not romantic, it's Rene keeping her at arms length like he'd rather her not be here at all. He sighs. "That's such a wonderful surprise. I had no idea they were going to be here. It'sfantastic." Celine nods. "It must be great to catch up after so much time apart." He nods. When he spins her, Celine tries to get closer. Rene immediately corrects their stance. "We don't want people gossiping, Celine."
