That Single Mistake On Christmas Eve

                                    

                                          
"Long time best friends and neighbors, Felip and Paulo are happily celebrating Christmas together or maybe the other way around..."
Watching the fireworks together, Paulo and Felip both smiled at the night sky. It's midnight, Christmas has arrived, their favorite time of the year. Felip decided to spend his Christmas at Paulo's place since he doesn't have someone to spend with and so as the other. Both men are away from their loved ones. Fortunately, they have each other's back.
"Ganda!" Paulo commented, still gazing at the continuous fireworks display.
"Merry Christmas, Pau!" Felip beams.
Paulo turns to the other man. "Yeah. Merry Christmas, Felip."
"Pasok na tayo. Patapos na rin naman iyan. Inom na inom na ako. May exchange gift pa tayo," Felip pouted, tugging the taller man.
"Mamaya na. Isa pa, hindi ka nga umiinom, huwag ako! Kitang nanonood ako e," Paulo declines, pointing at the sky. "Look, look! Ang ganda. Ang colorful. Ang laki! Grabe, ang gandaaaa!"
Laughing, Felip bumps him on his shoulders. "Parang shunga. Bata ka, bhoi?"
"Bata lang ba ang puwedeng ma-excite? Tch!" Paulo then focused at the fireworks until the hype died down. "Hayst! Natapos naman agad. Kill joy naman nila."
"Sabi sa'yo eh. Tara na. Ang lamig na o!" Felip then tugged the other and Paulo has no choice but to yield for it. "Tara at mag-exchange gift na tayo."
"Sinong mas bata sa ating dalawa ngayon, ha?" Paulo teased as he sat on the couch.
Felip pouted as he quickly showed him his present. "For you. Tatlo iyan. Pinag-effort-an ko pa iyan ng malala. Dapat lang na ma-appreciate mo."
Paulo grins, "Pa'no kung hindi ko pala nagustuhan?"
Felip scowls, "Wala kang ibang choice. Dapat gustuhin mo pa rin. Aba, galing kaya iyan sa akin."
The other smiled bitterly. "Sana gano'n nga kadali."
"Ha?"
"Sana gano'n nga kadaling sabihin at gawin. Iyong wala kang ibang choice kung hindi gustuhin ang ibinigay mo pero malabo eh. Hindi naman kasi iyan applicable sa lahat ng bagay." Paulo then sighs as he fetch his present for Felip.
"Pau, hindi ko gets." The younger followed him.
The taller chuckles. "Hayaan mo na. Oo nga pala, for you. Merry Christmas!"
"Woah! Ang laki naman nito, Pau. Kotse ba ang laman nito?" Felip jokes around as he excitedly carried his gift.
"Sira! House and lot iyan." Paulo then rolled his eyes.
"Yieeee!" The younger grins playfully. "Lab na lab mo ako para bigyan ng bahay at lupa."
This had Paulo cringed and wrinkled his nose. "Kapal. Hangin."
Felip hums, trying to guess what's inside his present. "Ano kaya ito? Bakit ang laki? Kapag ito budol, lagot ka sa akin, Nase!"
Paulo only chuckled as he unhooked his moon necklace. The other man liked it very much and he always asked for it but Paulo always refused to give it away until he thought it was the perfect time for it.
"O, baka sabihin mong suwapang na naman ako. Ito na, binibigay ko na sa'yo." Paulo handed him the necklace that had Felip's eyes shimmered in amusement.
"Oh my! Ang bait mo talaga. Ang perfect mong kaibigan. Ang pogi pa. Salamat sa buhay mo!" Felip yelps but while he's about to grab the necklace, Paulo grins and tossed his hands up. "Ano ba! Ang daya mo. Sabi mo ibibigay mo na sa'kin? Pangit mo talaga, Paulo!"
