"Before we do anything, I need to reappear again. I've been missing for weeks now, it's certainly raising worries from everywhere" 
"Right. Our hospital's suffering all sorts of reputation damage due to this incident" I chuckled quietly. "But how are you planning to resurface? You just can't show up randomly like you just went out to buy something" 
"I'm going to figure that out. My shoulder's almost fully healed so I wouldn't have to return to the hospital and stay there, right?" Light looked at me with an expression full of hope; one that wished to be able to carry out his ideals.
"Well, it's definitely better than before but it's far from being fully healed. I can't allow you to throw around a ball just yet, sorry Light" I sighed with a soft smile. 
"It's alright. I'll just have to make the most of it" He says, his gaze on my lips. "It's been a while since our last kiss, y/n" 
"And what about it..? are you planning on changing that?" I teased. 
"Hm, would you allow me to do so?" He smirked, looking right at my eyes as his hand climbs my thighs.

"..Yeah" I whispered, his other hand already on my cheek. "But we have to talk about what's going on here, don't we?" 
"I really would love to, y/n. I just.." He slowly lets his hand fall back to his side. "I like you, I really do. But I'm extremely afraid of hurting you in the process. Being kira and your boyfriend is two very different roles even I can't figure out how to juggle"
"So, are you saying that you wish to stay stuck in this situation?" 
"Of course not. I hate not being around you all the time but I hate it even more when the things I do put you in danger. I absolutely wouldn't stand it if something bad happened to you" He confessed as he pulled me in for a tight hug.

"I already knew the risk from the start yet I still stayed. Isn't that enough for you to stop being a coward and realize that I like you enough to face the consequences?" 
"You do?" His eyes widen and his cheeks fill with a rosy blush. "Y/n, don't play with my heart like that. You're willing to love me despite the fact that I'm kira?" 
"Yes, Light. I told you countless times already" I smiled, waiting for his response; hoping he would kiss me and say the words I'm dying to hear. 
"I love you" Light mumbles. "I love you, y/n" He utters, his eyes full of love and affection as he leans in to kiss me.
"I love you too, Light"
