"Back in my day, we died all the time, and we liked it!
- Rick Riordan, The Son of Neptune

Narnia, 2315

Edmund and Olivia returned to the how just in time to say their goodbyes to Lucy and Susan.

The Pevensie boy wished them both good luck and hugged his sisters, hurrying to alert his brother about Miraz having accepted the challenge. Caspian passed by him as he entered the room, Susan and Lucy ready on the horse.

Olivia moved to one side as she adjusted the saddle, Caspian on the other, patting the horse and giving him some carrots.

"Here, Lu." Said the Warrior Queen, giving Lucy a grey cloak, which the youngest one placed over her shoulders.

"Thanks." Smiled Lucy, adjusting herself and wrapping her arms around Susan's waist.

Caspian finished feeding the horse, and Olivia was done adjusting the saddle. They moved to the side, facing the two sisters with careful looks.

"Destrier has always served me well," Caspian patted the horse gently. "You're in good hands."

"Or hooves," Lucy added, chuckling with Olivia. Susan and Caspian merely cleared their throats.

The Telmarine leaned closer to the front, right next to Susan. He grabbed her hand and looked at her dreamily, earning an eye roll from Olivia. "Good Luck." He whispered, stroking her hand.

Susan merely avoided his gaze. "Thanks." She said, and although still a cold tone of voice, Olivia saw her softening as she didn't pull away from Caspian's gentle grip.

He moved his hand away, grabbing something in his brown bag hanging from his side. Caspian held the great white horn, carefully wrapped in the same white cloth from before. "Look," He showed the girls the piece, "Maybe it's time you had this back." He told her, offering the horn back to the Gentle Queen.

Susan let out a little grin. "Why don't you hold on to it?" She said. "You might need to call me again."

With that final sentence, she grabbed the reins and began galloping away, leaving a love-struck Caspian behind and a laughing Olivia. She could hear Lucy exclaiming to her sister about it, but Susan dismissed it with a chuckle.

"Someone's in love–" Olivia taunted, laughing at Caspian's dumb face as if Cupid's arrow had just stroked him.

"Oh, shut up."

"Your children better be named after me."

The Narnians hadn't been that eager for a long while.

One thousand and three hundred years later, their glorious Kings and Queens of Narnia had returned and brought hope to them once again. They couldn't help but cheer as the six trumpets were blown by the centaurs, revealing three out of the five, walking out of the how with their chins raised and battle faces on.
