It was worse than ever. Sanji couldn't even smile anymore. He had a head of fully black hair and the life was drained from his eyes. His figure was slimmer than it ever was, and his stomach hurt like hell. Sanji could barely stand, whenever Sanji straightened up, his legs would give way and he would topple over or collapse. He was dizzy, like his consciousness was a thread that he could barely hold onto for much longer.

He needed help.

"ISLAND!" Sanji heard Luffy shout loudly. Sanji wanted to stay in his bed, but he was forced to roll out and put on some clothes. Clothes that would hide his hair. Sanji stumbled weakly up the stairs  before emerging on the front deck.

"Hey Sanji!" Luffy said, waving to him. Sanji waved back, lifting the corners of his mouth as best as he could so it looked like he was smiling. Sanji felt a presence behind him, it was a bit taller and stronger. Zoro.

"Hey swirly."

Sanji flipped his head around to glare at Zoro.

"Leave me alone." Sanji spat, turning away from Zoro as Luffy began to speak to the rest of the crew about the island and materials everyone needed to gather.

"Alright, we"re going in groups soooo- Robin go with Usopp, Sanji go with Chopper, I'll go with Nami, Zoro go with Franky and Brooke will watch the ship. How does that sound?" Luffy asked.

"Can I swap with Chopper?" Zoro asked, Sanji turned to him and tried to stop him from volunteering.

"Wait, no-,"

"Sure, Chopper is with Franky and Sanji is with Zoro!" Luffy made his decision final before walking to the kitchen to demand breakfast. Sanji turned to scowl at Zoro.

"What the hell what that for?" Sanji spat, keeping his voice down.

"I'm going with you, so I'll be able to make sure you don't kill yourself." Sanji felt rage build up inside him, but he was too exhausted to say something back.

Sanji sneered at Zoro harder before turning and hauling his tired body to the kitchen where he made breakfast.

...

They set out to the island a couple hours later. Of course Sanji's hood was up, covering the monster that he had turned into. Zoro walked beside him, keeping as close to Sanji as possible so he could make sure that last night didn't repeat itself.

"Stop following me." Sanji muttered, stumbling sideways so he could keep his distance from Zoro.

"No, I don't think I will." Zoro said back, walking closer to Sanji. Sanji sighed loudly before walking to a stall that was selling food.

"Hello Mister, what can I get for you today?" An old woman asked in a croaky voice, smiling kindly up to Sanji's pale and dead face.

"Just some veg and stuff like that, necessities I guess." Sanji replied, his voice quiet but loud enough so the old woman could hear.

"Alright, do you want that in a bag young man?" The woman asked, a warm smile still on her wrinkled face.

"Sure." Sanji mumbled. The woman shuffled out of her seat and gathered everything Sanji had asked for in a bag before reaching her arm out to hand the bag to him. Sanji lifted his trembling hand to take the bag but was quickly shoved to the side by Zoro who took it instead.

"I'll take it, it's heavy." Zoro said, looking into Sanji's sleepless eyes.

"T-thanks... I guess." Sanji mumbled, looking away. He felt somewhat... flustered?

They continued walking around so they could find the others, twisting round corners in search for Robin, Usopp, Chopper and Franky. A few minutes later of silence, Zoro spoke.

"Don't think about running off." Sanji turned to him at the sudden noise. They kept walking in silence after Sanji turned away, angry at Zoro's comment.

They turned a corner and saw Robin, Chopper and Usopp chatting. Sanji stood in one place, almost too scared to face his friends.

"Hey Zoro and Sanji!" Chopper smiled at the two, his antlers perking up at their presence.

"Hey Chopper, did Usopp let you get everything you wanted?" Zoro asked.

"He let me get some supplies but I'm still missing something because Usopp was scared it might go out of our budget aha," Chopper claimed, smiling up to Zoro, who's face became angry as his eyes darted to Usopp.

"Hey, hey! Nami would have killed me if I went out of our budget!" Usopp exclaimed, lifting his hands up to show he was innocent.

"Go get Chopper the thing he wanted, now." Zoro said sternly.

"Aha, yes sir!" Usopp said before running off with a small girly-looking purse in his hand.

"Thanks Zoro but you didn't have to-... hold on, didn't you have Sanji with you?"

Zoro whipped his head around to see nothing. Sanji must have snuck away when he wasn't looking.
