We're back downstairs and Scarlett and Colin have disappeared to get me my welcome home present. "whats taking them so long?" Melanie asks making me laugh. Rose is sitting right up close to me again but i dont mind, its not as awkward or weird anymore. Colin comes in with a box followed by scarlett. He puts it on the floor in-front of me and i realise its a hamper "okay so basically in here is everything you could need" scarlett starts "theres soap, chocolate, drinks, books basically anything"  i smile at her and hug her tightly "thank you". She takes out a keychain and i read it, on each line it says a different thing'*welcome home* *new adventures* *new memories*' i smile "that was colins idea aswell as the doormatt outside, did you see it?" i shake my head "i did tell him you wouldnt notice. it says welcome home anyway if you wanted to know. And this is your other one" scarlett hands me a giftcard for loads of shops "so you can buy anything you want and you dont need to ask me" she laughs "thank you". I hug her tightly and then hug Colin "thank you guys so much" I whisper "your welcome kiddo" Colin replies.  
Melanie left a while ago so it's just the four of us. Colin gave Rose her fixed rocking horse so she's been on that for a little bit. "Hey" Scarlett says so I look up and see her peering through my door "oh hi" she comes amd sits on my bed next to me "what you doing?" "Nothing" she raises her eyebrow "well in that case do you want to look at schools with us?" I shake my head vigorously "I don't want to go to school. I really really really dont" scarlett laughs "well you have to. We don't have to do it today if you really don't want to" I shake my head vigorously "alright then, you win" I smile widely "but we are doing it at somepoint. Do you want to come on a walk with me? I don't think Rose wants to come" "um sure but will it be long?" She shakes her head "not if you don't want it to be. Come on, let's go before it gets dark" she pulls me up from the bed and I follow her down the stairs. "Scarlett?" I question making her hum "do you smoke?" She shakes her head "no not anymore but I used too. I'm not proud of it and I don't want you or Rose to ever" "oh. How old where you?" I ask being nosy "that's none of your business" scarlett says stroking my nose. I scrunch it and push her hand away "was it before you had me or after you had me. See, I need to know these things" I tell her cheekily "not saying. Go and put your shoes on, I'll tell Colin". 
I put my shoes on and wait for scarlett at the front door. Why is it so boring waiting for someone? Why does she have to take so long? I open the front door and walk through the front garden to the gate, I open it and look down the road "y/n" I turn around quickly to scarlett walking down the drive "ready?" I nod and leave the premises. Scarlett closes the gate behind her and we walk beside each other down the path "can I get a pet?" I ask and look at her "what sort of pet? If I get you one, Rose will won't one too" I think and then nod "a dog" scarlett chuckles "not happening" "what if we share it so we only have one. I think it would bring me and Rose closer together because we have to look after something" I day and pull a cheeky grin. Scarlett narrows her eyes and pushes me into a hedge "hey! That's. Not. Fair" I push her into a hedge on her side and we keep going for atleast a good three minutes.
