His name is Guy Crimson, the mediator. He was assigned this job to maintain the world's balance by Veldanava himself. Veldanava, the being who created all was a benevolent being and the one Guy respected the most; when he was still alive that is. He was a far-sighted being, and a wise one at that. Everyone believed he would forever be, the one and only, the true god and creator residing over the cardinal world- his greatest of creations.
He cared about this world a lot. As such, he established various rules and regulations governing all, regardless of their origin and power; not even he himself was immune to them. He did this to maintain peace and balance. Everyone believed he could never make a mistake, after all, he was a perfect creature, a flawless being, the pinnacle of existence. At least, until that fateful day.
"Wahahaha now grab this stupid princess and turn her into my slave!" The king roared amidst the burning ashes, the remains of what was once a majestic creature and its kin. It was a dreadful night, when all hope turned to despair. Our lord, our creator, was no longer among us.
Countless tears were shed that day,
cries and wails of pain;
innumerable lives were lost, no delay,
as endless souls perished in vain.
But that was just the beginning.It was the day that Veldanava succumbed to the laws he made. Oh poor lord, what have you done? Why did you make such laws that restrict even your own freedom, and then go ahead and break them? If you were a perfect, all-knowing being then, how could you make such a mistake? Or was it all according to a grand scheme of yours?
Either way, what's done is done. You are now gone, and the world has to move on. The sooner we accept that unchangeable truth, the better. Even so, some of them could never accept it. And can they really be blamed? After all, you were their truth, their soul, their very reason for existence.
It was a difficult time, but it was soon to pass. New creatures arose, lived in this world he left behind, and passed away. The cycle will go on and on, but Guy would not abandon his duty. The responsibility that Veldanava left him with before he passed away; he will see through to the end of existence. He would make sure such a day never came again; a day when pain and despair consume the world; that was his vow! And yet... and yet... it happened again...

Boom!
"Argh!"
The being that looked like Rimuru raised his arm. It was an abomination; an imposter, an evil carnate of the benevolent one. The next moment, it launched at Guy an explosion so massive that it engulfed the entire castle. From the highest floor, which existed no more, it blasted everyone to the ground. The one responsible for it, a precise imitation of the ruler, Rimuru, floated down majestically. With a face that lacked any expression, he looked down on the miserable, fallen ones beneath him.
"So it's finally happening..." Guy couldn't help but sigh. Dread and desperation consumed his voice and he was of calm no more. "Evacuate this city- no. The whole nation!" he shouted, but the bewildered subordinates of Rimuru could pay no heed; they still struggled to come to terms with this cruel reality.
"R-Rimuru-sama..."
The being in front was no Rimuru, and neither was it up to any good. The sooner they accept it, the better. Lest they shall have to wash their hands off of Tempest, the nation dear Rimuru worked all his life to protect. Yet they were far too dumbfounded to act. Guy realized this and once again, shouted with all his might.
"Unless you want every single creature in Tempest, and the areas far beyond to perish, Hurry up!" He drilled the hard truth in their heads, and It seemed to have finally snapped them out of it. In such situation, they knew what their priority was. Without further delay, they sprang into action.
