Chemosh walked into the world's most obnoxious office, and that's saying something because he's personally met Donald Trump. How else does a man who looks like a live Cheeto make it to the Oval Office? "You told the Angel?"
Gabriel looked up from petting his cat, "of course I did. That boy is the most stubborn human or Angel I've ever met. And I'm a trickster."
The demon rolled his eyes so hard. "We had a deal. We reset their lives and let them try again, let them be humans. The older ones found each other, and they found the little ones. The four younger ones were even siblings, and two are disgustingly in love."
The Angel pouted while he petted the cat, which looked like it had seen better days. "I know that. But Jungkook and Kat needed to be together, and that wasn't going to happen with his ass demanding loudly to everyone that would hear that he hated her. He loves her; everyone could see it BUT him."
"So you gave him memories of their lives together? That makes no sense. They could have still gotten together without our interference. They didn't need you."
Gabriel looked at Chemosh like he was the dumbest thing alive, "It's like you don't even know; everything I do, I have to entertain myself somehow, and they are just my newest victims."
"What's your rush, though? I'm sure he would have seen the error of his ways when he went to college and confessed."
"Tae will propose to Jimin soon; I want them together before the wedding."
Chemosh raised his eyebrows, "is there a reason for that?"
"Ashetics," Gabriel replied like that made all the sense in the world.
He was ready to retort a witty remark when the cat growled a bit, "That? Surely that's not Luci?"
"And if it is?"
"Please tell me that you didn't keep their cat?"
Gabriel looked offended, "Oh, you can keep Rizzo, but I couldn't keep Luci? That's hypocritical and just mean. Do you have something against cats, or are you just an asshole?"
"The only reason I kept Rizzo is because he's a hellhound, and I'm a demon; we belong in hell. That," he scoffed as he pointed at Luci, "is a typical house cat, and this isn't Earth."
"That isn't what a cat should look like. He should be dead by now."
"What?" The Angel yelled as he pulled Luci to his chest and covered his ears, "Don't listen to him, Baby; you absolutely should not be dead; you are going to live forever, my little Prince."
Chemosh groaned as he plopped down in the chair, "he looks half dead already."
"I will smite you if you don't stop insulting my cat."
"How long do they live?"
Gabriel shrugged his shoulder a bit, "like 15 years or so, why?"
"So I was right; he should be dead."
"What makes you say that?"
"15 years, was like 20 years ago, Gabe, or did you forget how to count? What did you do to it?"
The Angel had the decency to look a little ashamed, "I might have helped him along. I just," he sighed so heavily, "I just love him so damn much, and I don't want to part from him."
He might be a demon, but he knows what love is; he loves the silly little hellhound that refuses to leave his golden retriever form. "Okay, I'll leave you alone about him. But I'm still confused about the whole Jungkook thing. I'll leave it alone as long as Kat is happy. Your Angel better treat her right. She may not know it, but she's still my daughter."
Gabriel nodded his head and went back to his paperwork. Chemosh knew when he was being dismissed, so he headed back home, where his dog was waiting on the couch, belly up, tongue out, and tail going wild. "Hey bud, did you miss me?"
He knew that would get a cute little woof, and it did. He sat beside him, and Riz laid his head on the demon's lap. They cuddled for a bit before they checked in on their favorite humans; it was their primary way to kill time. Imagine his shock when he discovered five of his demons going to college and spending time with the humans.
When he first called Soobin and his four shadows, they were scared out of their wits. But the demon assured him that he meant them no harm. When Jimin contacted him before they went human, he became friends with Kat, and when he found them missing, he was concerned. So imagine his surprise when, 30ish years later, he meets them all again.
They had no idea who he was, and Soobin was utterly confused at how his demon friends had suddenly become humans. But he was so happy to have them back in his life. When his demon friends found out, they wanted to ensure that Soobin wasn't crazy.
Jun almost cried actual tears, which is shocking for a demon. But he couldn't contain himself when he saw about friends for the first time in so long. He had to run off; poor Taehyung thought he'd done something wrong. It took Jimin nearly 20 minutes to convince him that he didn't. But the four of them became fast friends, and Kat was a natural add-in. Then, the three younger boys when they were around and Jungkookie when he came to see his brother and Kat.
It was nice, Chemosh was happy that his daughter seemed to be so well loved, even if she did have demons in her life. It was all he ever wanted for her. It was so much better than her actual birth parent; they were horrible to her. Jin and Joon were the best parents and loved Kat so much. The Frelings were horrible humans who abused her and neglected her. Kat never even knew love until two demons crashed into her life and caused her to imprint on them.
"This better work, Gabriel; he grumbled to himself.
