"Ry, what's going on?" Her eyes narrowed, studying his look that she couldn't seem to understand. Ryan was always smiling, obnoxious with sex jokes and bouncing with adrenaline.

His mouth opened, eyes wavering in thought and his mouth clamped closed. His hand shook on the door handle and he pushed it open with a sigh.

"Come in." He told her, letting her follow him into the house. It was a bit more kept up inside, not nearly as bad as it looked from the outside. Ryan was quiet as he walked down the hall, nearly the sounds of the soft cries.

He stopped outside of a door, staring at her carefully, "wait here." He instructed and Molly nodded, watching as he walked into the room, not letting her peak inside.

Molly waited, hearing hushes from inside and Ryan came out, a pink blanket bundled in his arms with the tiniest baby inside. She smiled, met with big blue eyes that had tears stained around them.

"She's so cute. I didn't know you had a sister." Molly said, smiling up at Ryan and his frown deepened. "Ry.. she is your sister, right?" He shook his head and Molly's heart sank.

"This is my Hazel." He told her, cradling the baby so carefully that she could see all the love he had for her.

"She's yours?" Molly was shocked, she never would've guessed that he had a baby. Why didn't he tell anyone?

"I'm sorry, Molly." Ryan mumbled, his eyes glued to the baby girl in his arms. "It's just, I didn't even know about her until after she was born. Her mother came to me and begged me to take her. I couldn't-" he choked on a sob, "I couldn't say no."

"Ryan, why are you apologizing?" Molly reached up, wiping a tear from his cheek.

"I don't.. you probably think I'm an idiot, hell, I just turned sixteen and now I have a newborn baby."

"You don't have to do this alone, though. Where are your parents?" She asked, realizing that she hadn't heard any other people since she walked in. He didnt have to do this by himself, he shouldn't.

"They went on a bender, I guess. They weren't too happy with me." Ryan shrugged, his voice quiet as he stared down at Hazel. "I don't really have anyone, my neighbor watches her sometimes but I don't.. I hate leaving her."

"Ryan, you should tell someone. You should've told me, I would've helped you." Molly had her own tears brimming her eyes, realizing how exhausted and scared he was.

"I didn't want you guys to think of me differently—"

"Dude, us? Have you met our friends, we would all be more than happy to help." She assured him and he smiled down at the baby.

"We do have some pretty cool friends." He mumbled, wiping Hazel's cheeks. "I'm betting Danesy's pretty pissed that I've been missing practice, huh?" Ryan asked and Molly laughed lightly.

"He'll get over it." Molly said, "can I hold her?" She asked, noticing the hesitation on his face before he nodded.

"Just make sure you support her head and-and actually, sit down, please?" Ryan beckoned her towards the couch and she walked over, sitting onto the cushion as he followed. "She's barely a month so she's really little, just be careful." She had never seen him hold anything the way he was Hazel. Hell, she had watched him fight guys twice his size, break glass plates and nearly drown Wyatt in Beaus hot tub—this was a whole new person.

He was so gentle, so careful with every move as he transferred the baby to Molly's arms. Hazel stirred for a moment, but blinked slowly up at Molly once she had a good hold on her.
