It was a beautiful day with fluffy white clouds floating across a pure blue sky. There was a light breeze blowing and it wasn't humid or overly sunny so I decided to go to the local park and enjoy some fresh air. I brought a new book I bought with me to read. I got to the park and scanned the scenery noticing that it was mostly empty except for a kid reading too. I guess we both got the same idea! I sat down on a nearby bench and started reading. I was flipping a page when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a guy approach the kid and started talking about the book.
"This is the Class S Hero King! He's the strongest! And this is Lightning Genji Class A. He patrols my neighborhood. See that's his autograph!"
"HAHAHA.." the guy chuckled "His autograph, huh? I'd like to get one myself...so take me to your neighborhood." That sounded kinda aggressive. Is this a kidnapping!? Wait, that voice... it sounds familiar! My hands squeezed the ends of my book, and without moving my head I slowly looked toward the kid and the man. Shit! Its Garou. ! He was sitting on the top of the bench all relaxed.
"Okay, do you like heroes old dude?" the kid asked. Garou moved down and sat next to him.
Ahh. Is he gonna attack that kid!? I tensed wondering what to do. If he does, Can that kid keep quiet when he sees me? Can I even beat a monster like Garou?
"That hero guide looks useful. You can see their faces and stats. Lend it to me for a week."
"No way!" Ahh. He's going to beat a kid up. OK Plan A: Rush over and throw myself at him. Plan B: Attack him from afar. Wait he can use the kid to shield him. Ok Plan C: Pretend I know the kid and walk up calmly. Uh but I suck at acting! While I was planning, the conversation continued.
"Aw, come on don't be stingy," Gaoru whined but he didn't seem to get irritated.
"Oh look! It lists monsters too! That gets me excited."
"The monsters do? Why?" the kid asked.
"This part is about unexplained monsters and urban legends. It's really scary!" Garou took the magazine.
"The scarier the better! Don't you think scary is cool?" Garou asked.
"Huh? You've got weird taste, old dude.."
"Cool..I hope I get in here someday." Garou had a different look on his face..almost gentle.
"You wanna be a hero? Me too but.. I'm not very athletic." Garou probably meant he wants to be a villain in the book. But how can he want to be something like that?! What happened to make him that way?
"Well good for you." He's back to being mean! Garou handed the book back.
"You're mean, old dude,..." Garou stood up. "Well. it's hunting time. I should be going. Listen brat. I'll be back to look at that again.." he patted the kid's head.
"um.. okay!Sure thing!!"
"And mind your language. Don't call me Old Dude." That's what he's mad about? Well, he is around my age and I wouldn't want to get called that either. It's kinda funny, it makes him seem normal.
"Huh? What? I couldn't hear you."
"Get lost, brat!"
"Fine, it's already time for me to get home." the kid said. I checked the big clock in the park. It was 5 pm.
I waited for them both to walk away. He's definitely going to do something bad. If he's going to beat up a good hero then this time I have to stop him! But if he's beating up a bad hero, I'll wait until he's finished and then take revenge for Mumen Rider!
