TOMMY Shelby was happy, in fact, he was more than that, the woman who owned his heart was back in his grasp, and regardless of it not feeling the same, he was adamant about making their relationship better. It was tough, considering he was the reason that she lost a friend...a brother and there was no fixing that. Your best friend gets taken from you and you try and do the same to me, Eden's words always echoed through his mind. She was right and there was no mending her ruptured soul, all he could do was make her feel better.

And that was hard.

Not even Stevie would talk to Eden, someone who was an extension of Enzo and wanted nothing to do with her, it only hurt more.

But what brought her tears was what she met on her doorstep on a rainy morning. A second-hand typewriter and along with it was a note,

For all the times you helped, loved and protected me.

May you shine through the fog of the mirky city, little sister,

- E. Changretta.

P.S.  Adam Garden is the perfect name.

Tommy was the one to bring it into her home, rubbing a hand over her back as he read the note with appreciative eyes, despite not understanding most of it contained. Typewriters weren't cheap, even if they were second-hand.

"You've got more motivation now don't ya Edie?"

She cast him a sad smile, "I guess I do."

"I'm sorry," Tommy breathed out. He'd been saying it for days, ever since she stormed into his house, demanding that he treat her well, he was doing everything in his power not to mess up. "I'm sorry Eden." For everything.

She simply nodded and looked away.

Meeting Tommy in the betting shop like he wanted, Eden smiled at the workers, made up of four Peaky soldiers (mainly old friends from school or boys needing work, like Danny Owen and Sudboat). They smiled back, knowing who she was and more importantly in their eyes, who she was with... one of the big bosses.

"Boys," her batting eyelashes and smoulder almost cause them to fall from their chairs and if it weren't for Tommy emerging from the office, with John and Arthur behind him, they would've.

They tipped their caps in her direction, "Miss Dawkins."

And with that, they quickly returned to their work.

John and Arthur smirked at each other, greeting the nurse with a wide grin. She didn't press a kiss to Tommy's cheek, which irked him, watching as she entered the office, leaving the brothers to whisper.

"Careful brother, she's got them foamin' at the mouth," John teased, adjusting his hat and putting a toothpick back in his mouth,

"Yeah yeah, try and make it home without fallin' up the stairs," Tommy retorted, not in the mood for quips, because he didn't receive a kiss from his lady.

"No promises, ain't that right John boy?" Arthur jokily nudged him.

John nodded as they turned to leave, not before he made one last gag, "And make sure to give Edie a proper seein' to, bet she starved."

"Fuck off," Tommy pushed them both away, ignoring their laughter as he turned back around and opened the office door.

"They think I'm starved?" Eden questioned, hearing everything that was said.
