When the End is Rolling Near / Stay With Me Bonus Chapter
—
Haein stirred awake and instinctively tightened his hold on the sleeping form of Jisoo on top of him. He willed his eyes to open just so he can see for himself that he is really holding her, affirming that what had happened earlier was all true.It took a while for his eyes to adjust to the darkness, and when it did, he found himself looking at Jisoo. Her face was turned up to him, allowing him an undisturbed view of her sheer beauty. Her eyes were still closed, deep in slumber, and her lips are slightly puckered, with her lower lips just ever so slightly stuck out. He always loved kissing her on her lower lip first, then adding a little nip or even the lightest flick of his tongue.
If only he could, he would most definitely spend an entire day just kissing Jisoo.
"Weren't you told that its rude to stare?"
Jisoo chuckled sleepily as she buried her face in Haein's chest before taking in a deep breath. He could feel her hands languidly rubbing his sides, taking her sweet time in feeling his body like everything is brand new.
"I can't help it. You're just too beautiful."
In response, he felt her push herself up so her face is resting snugly on the crook of his shoulder. He could feel her lips and her warm breath grazing a sensitive part of his neck. Breathing deep, he inhaled her scent and recognized the same rose-scented shampoo she uses. It's the same scent she leaves on his pillows every time she stays over at his place.
"Don't you have anywhere else to go?" Jisoo asked, her voice small and muffled against his neck. Shaking his head, Haein reached out so he can brush her hair using his fingers. "I am where I'm supposed to be. And, I'm never leaving."
"That is good.." she murmured as she started spreading soft kisses on his neck and up to his jaw, and then painfully, she stopped. He felt her shift her weight on top of him before pushing herself up with her hands on his chest. Smiling, she rubbed his chest before leaning down to place a soft kiss on his lips. "I really like having you here." Jisoo whispered against his lips.
Rubbing her back before resting his hands just above her butt, Haein chuckled softly, "But, what if you get tired of me?" he teased.
"I don't think that's ever going to happen.. well.." Jisoo paused, biting down a playful smile. "Maybe not anytime soon. We'll see." Haein pouted in response, earning him a smooch from Jisoo. As she pulled away, Haein held her, his hand on her cheek, so he can kiss her back. The fear that has been lodged in his chest since the night she drove him away have completely melted away, proving what he'd known since the beginning of their relationship, that she has become his lifeline. Without her would mean living a half life.
"I don't scare easily. But I was so terrified of the possibility of losing you.. that I already lost you." Haein whispered against her lips as her forehead rests against his. "No argument is worth winning if it means losing you."
"Haein," Jisoo whispered as she held his face in her hands, "you will never lose me. You are my home and I will always find my way back to you. Always."
