Request - Well The ranch is under attack the reader goes into labour, but kayce can't get to her because he got shot. So she has to figure out a way to get to the hospital, if she can get to the hospital in time?

Also maybe kayces really upset when he finds out that he can't get to her?

You heard the gunshots ringing out behind you from where you were taking shelter on the edge of the woods. Two trucks with multiple men had pulled up on the ranch unannounced and started firing. You had no idea who they were or what the reasoning behind this was, but you weren't able to stick around and find out.

You had been walking back up to the lodge with Rip when they pulled up. Thinking quickly, Rip ran you over to the trees and basically dumped you there. You'd be little to no help, seeing as you were due to have your first baby with Kayce next week.

Rip sat you down behind one of the big trees and told you to stay there before rushing back off. You had tried calling Kayce, who was up at the main house, but he didn't answer. Now that you heard the gunfire you were pretty sure part of that string of bullets ringing out where your husband was.

You saw another crew of wranglers running up to the main house past you. You wanted nothing more than to help and if you had a gun, you could at least fire it right? You tried to stand up, getting about halfway up when a sharp pain ripped through your left side.

You clutched your stomach, kneeling back down in the dirt and gasping. It was like someone stuck you with a knife and was cutting up through your back. You tried to breathe out, confused as to what was happening. There was a pressure between your legs, and it clicked.

Soon, a warm liquid was spreading down both of your legs. You looked at saw your water had broken.

"Oh no," You whispered as another round of bullets echoed across the property.

You glanced around and couldn't see anyone in either direction now. Placing both your hands on your stomach you started your breathing exercises that your doctor had told you. You could do this, you were okay.

Another round of pain shot through you and you closed your eyes, whimpers falling from your lips because you remembered Rip's words telling you to be quiet.

"Okay...okay...okay," You breathed as the pain subsided again.

You looked over and saw a few of the ranch trucks parked near the bunkhouse. That was going to be your only way of getting out of here and to the clinic in time. You weren't sure how long you had, but those last two contractions weren't five minutes apart and you knew the closer together they were, the sooner a baby was coming.

You picked up your phone again and tried Kayce. When his voicemail started you hung up and texted him that you had gone into labor and to meet you at the hospital.

You looked back up the road to the main house. There weren't as many bullets sounds happening, but it was eerily empty looking. You hoisted yourself up, thinking you didn't have long before another contraction happened.

Hobbling across the dirt road, you made it to one of the truck's driver's side. Opening the door, you hoisted yourself into the truck as soon as another wave hit you. This time you couldn't be quiet and cried out, holding your stomach.

You were breathing hard, in and out, when the pain simmered away. You shut the door and turned the truck on. There still wasn't anyone on the road as you put the truck in drive and eased out of its parking spot.

You almost made it to the sign when Jimmy jumped out, aiming a shotgun at you. You almost ran him over but stopped.

"Y/N?" Jimmy asked, lowering the gun.

"Jimmy," You rolled your window down. "Help me, please!"

"What's wrong?" Jimmy came around and opened your door.

"I'm" You stopped and cried out, your head falling against the steering wheel. "I'm in labor.

"Fuck," Jimmy looked scared.

"Jimmy...." You breathed out. "Can you drive me...to the clinic?"

"Uh," Jimmy glanced around.

You leaned over to the other side of the truck, the pain almost making you pass out. Jimmy hopped in and shut the door, looking over at you in panic.

"Just drive," You breathed out, not sitting properly.

"Okay," Jimmy punched the gas and you lurched forward.

"Shit Jimmy," You reached out and caught yourself against the stereo. "Careful."

"Y/N...what are you," Jimmy was stuttering. "Shit...did you hear?"

"What?" You were breathing hard, your eyes shut.

"Uh...Kayce," Jimmy turned on the highway and started to speed up.

"What about Kayce," You weren't listening closely to him, trying to focus on calming yourself down.

"He uh..." Jimmy passed a few cars along the way.

"What Jimmy?" You snapped, looking over at him.

"H-He was shot, Y/N," Jimmy was gripping the wheel.

"W-What?" You were sure you had misheard him.

"H-He was hit," Jimmy nodded. "

"Where?" You blinked.

"I-I don't know," Jimmy shook his head. "I was out in the"

"Not where was he shot," You cried. "Where is he?"

"They took him to the clinic," Jimmy sighed. Ryan and Walker were also hit."

"W-What?" You couldn't believe what you were hearing. "Jimmy, I need-"

You doubled over in pain as another contraction hit you. Jimmy stepped on the gas as you had tears rolling down your cheek.

"Is he dead?" You cried, looking at Jimmy.

"Who?" Jimmy asked as he pulled off the highway into town.

"Fucking Kayce!" You snapped.

"Oh, uh...he wasn't when they put in in the truck," Jimmy turned sharply into the parking lot of the emergency clinic.

They must have already had visitors because the clinic was alive, and a few nurses ran over to your truck when Jimmy came to a stop. They opened your door.

"Ma'am, are you hit?" One asked you.

"No," You shook your head. "I'm pregnant."

"Get us a wheelchair!" The nurse yelled.

"Jimmy?" Rip was walking over.

"Rip," Jimmy said as the nurses helped you into the chair.

"Y/N?" Rip ran over to you. "What the fuck happened?"

"You tell me!" You yelled at him. "Where's Kayce?"

"Dutton?" A nurse asked as they started to walk you inside.

"What?" You looked up.

"Alright enough!" A doctor yelled at the entrance to the clinic. "If you need medical attention, then inside you go. If not, then you're out here but everyone calm the fuck down!"

You glanced at Rip as they started to roll you inside.

"He's in there, Y/N," Rip nodded before they shut the door.

They put you in a room and suddenly there were too many people around you, hooking you up to monitors, starting an IV and everyone was talking. You felt overwhelmed and then you heard a lot of beeping.

"She's crashing," A voice said, and things got blurry.

"Star an IV..."

"Ma'am, how far along are you?"

"She's losing blood pressure..."

"Where's Kayce?" You asked as everything went black.
