One Month Later
Long Beach Arena - LA
Maggie got out of the taxi and looked around while Nat paid the driver. Peter was with them and immediately pointed to the gates where through them, the tour buses were parked, as well as fans waiting - hoping to catch a glimpse of the band. Some were hardly dressed in anything, another way of trying to be the lucky ones picked as another notch in whichever member's bed post.
Making a face, Maggie now joined Nat as the three of them made their way past the fans who were already making their way inside, and flashed their passes, security letting them through straight away much to the annoyance of those only there for when the show ended.
"Perks of knowing the band". Nat winked to them both and they continued inside the arena. People had their drinks, were talking excitedly.
"That stage is huge..." Peter commented as they now passed at the side of it and sat in the area that was reserved for family and friends. A couple of Rocket's latest conquests were sat busy topping up their make up and looking both Nat and Maggie up and down.
"Trust me, he's gonna be done with you girls in a few weeks". Maggie snorted, to which both girls looked disgusted and muttered amongst themselves.
Nat leant in. "You trying to make enemies?"
"I really couldn't give a shit at this point". Maggie replied truthfully and sat back. It was a good view to say the least, but that still didn't change her opinion about everything. "What time does it start?"
Nat checked her watch. "Not long, although they could be late if they're wasted".
Maggie simply rolled her eyes and began to pick the nail varnish from her nails. She'd much rather have been throwing drunken men out of the club than sitting there, but if this would make Steve finally stop harassing her to come to a show or talk to him? It would probably be worth it.
Just fifteen minutes later, the band came on, Rocket wasted out of his mind. At one point he almost fell from the stage but in the end crowd surfed around anyway.
All the while, Maggie watched. Steve appeared sober enough to play rather well, either that or he'd mastered just how to when drunk. He was talented, she'd admit that. His presence on-stage didn't go unnoticed. Many girls were wanting a piece of him, and he was only too happy to take his shirt off and throw it into the crowd where a fight over it ensued - the lucky victor screaming and crying at her triumph. Steve simply puckered his lips to her and continued.
"Unbelievable". Maggie said to herself as she shook her head in disbelief. Only now she could see how many tattoos he had. A lot more than she had expected, then again with Steve? She really didn't know what to expect other than funeral wreaths and daily phone calls of him begging to talk to her.
This was exactly the kind of man she didn't want to wrap herself up with.
"They're used to it". Nat shrugged, eyes fixed on Bucky. "They have a show to put on so why not play the part and indulge".
"I think by now they have indulged well enough". She said, watching the crowd go wild. "I think I'll leave soon".
"No! Stay! Please? I just know Bucky will have some girl draped over him to try and make me jealous. I need a wing woman, plus I can't keep an eye on the kid if I'm busy trying to get laid".
Good lord.
With a small huff, Maggie nodded. "Fine. I'll stay until you get some dick, but then we're going". Nat didn't reply to this though, she was too busy dancing and becoming lost in the show. Eventually she spoke.
