I was a bit suprised when y/n had laid her head on my shoulder. But I wasn't against it. In fact, I didn't dare to move a muscle. I stayed completely still and didn't plan on moving any time soon.
In all honesty I wasn't going to be able to sleep anyway. Even if I am exhausted to my limit, I won't sleep. But I had to admit I felt little less tense.
I looked down slowly to where my arm wrapped around her. Seeing her soft breathing while she rested, I couldn't help but stare. She seemed so peaceful, something I wish I could feel for once. Even though I am a tiny bit jealous of her sanity, I'm sure she won't have it for much longer.
My face twitched slightly and I sighed, listening to the quiet night. It was so quiet I had ringing in my ears, making my face twitch slightly more. I squeezed my eyes shut and leaned my head against the wall. I tried to relax but I felt so anxious, I needed to move or something.
I looked down at y/n and slowly pushed her head from my shoulder. She must have been in deep sleep for her to still not be awake. I proped her head against the wall and slowly let go. She remained asleep and I let out a received sigh.
Standing up I twitch slightly more now that I wasn't restraining myself. I didnt realized how much that touch had overstimulated me. I clenched my fists and put them in my pocket. Tearing my gaze from y/n I look over at the window. The moonlight pouring into the room, making everything only barely visible.
The corner of my mouth twitched and I grabbed my hatchets, putting them in their holsters at my sides. I took one last look at y/n before slowly turning the door handle. I successfully open the door without making any noise and I slip out of the room.
I just needed to walk around for a few minutes. I started to silently walk down the hallway, keeping my hands in my pockets. I paced down the dark hallway, taking a turn every so often. There was a ringing in my ear, the same one that sounded like a static noise.
I sighed and looked around for another sign of It. But nothing came and the noise was shortly gone. I rubbed my ears from the painful ringing noise and took another turn down the corridor. I saw the entry to the gym and decided to go inside. It was the same almost empty gymnasium it always was. I looked around for a minute and my eyes landed back to the doors of the storange closet.
My curiosity over turned my better judgment and I walked over, opening the door. It was still filled to the brim with miscellaneous equipment, but I tried to push some aside to see behind it. I tried to take some of the stuff off the pile but it ended up tumbling over. The pile of equipment fell to reveal a dark room full of shelves. I stepped over the pile and went into the dark room.
There wasn't much, just more supplies and shelves that went further and further back. But the room had a smell to it that was familiar. So I walked along the shelves and looked down each row. I walked to very last shelves and I heard a small splat as I stepped down. I looked down at my shoe and found a pool of red underneath my feet. I guess I found the source of the smell..
I raise an eyebrow, more in confusion than disgust. It was nothing more than a pool of blood. I lifted up my shoe and the crimson dripped from it, back into the puddle. Stepping back I wiped my shoe on the clean ground and walked out of the closet.
I didn't want to just to the conclusion that it was a person's blood, but there was a fair chance I was right. I crammed all of the equipment back into the closet and shut the doors.
Y/n's pov:
My eyes slowly open and I quickly realized I fell asleep. I slowly stood up and stretched with a yawn. I was still pretty tired and it was dark so I must have only slept for a bit. I look over to see if Toby is awake but... he's not there.
