It was well past midnight when the light in Yoongi and Seokjin's room was finally turned off. It had been a long day, but the two had still felt the need to unwind before they slept.

In Yoongi's case, it was lying down and staring at the ceiling, his headphones pumping his Epik High playlist in his ears. For Seokjin, unwinding was a mixture of flicking through dramas and twitter on his phone.

Only once the pair were shrouded in darkness and both prepared to sleep did Seokjin speak up. His conversation with the other members was echoing clearly in his mind. "Hey, Yoon?" The other hummed in acknowledgement. "Can we talk for a bit before sleeping?"

"Sure, Seokjin-hyung." His voice was so heavy with sleep the singer felt bad about keeping him up. "What do you want to talk about? Did something happen?"

Usually when the pair stayed up to talk it was about mental or physical health. Both of them seemed to feel more comfortable in the dark to share their problems and advice. "No, nothing happened. I'm alright. It's just..." For some reason, he needed to take a second to steady himself. "I wanted to ask if you are okay, actually."

"Me? Oh, I'm alright. Why do you ask?"

Seokjin shifted around under his covers. It was spring, that strange time between hot and cold. "Just, with everything that happened, I wondered..."

Yoongi's voice turned dry. "This is about my love, right?" The silence spoke volumes. "Look, please just trust me, hyung. Everything is okay, I promise. I know how it all sounds, just please try and understand."

"Namjoonnie called a meeting today," was what Seokjin wasn't supposed to say, but he said it anyway. It was the truth in the end. "The members are worried, and they asked me to talk to you about it. They are concerned that, well, maybe your love isn't..." He lay there helplessly as his words escaped him.

"Coming back," Yoongi finished easily. He sighed, letting silence fall for a moment before continuing. "That's why I never said anything. I knew no one would understand. It's okay, I understand you're just concerned for me."

His voice was so sad it broke Seokjin's heart a little bit. "Yoongi, I didn't mean-"

"I already said it's okay!" he interjected. "You care about me. If the situation was reversed, I think I'd feel the same as you. I'd think that this is ridiculous. Honestly, I kind of think it is now. It's... unnecessary? God, I don't quite know how to describe it. I mostly just wish things were different. That we could be together now." Yoongi paused for a moment. The older was surprised to hear a soft sniffle from the other side of the room. "But unfortunately we can't. Not now anyway. One day, though..."

"And what will you do until then?" His voice was soft, but it also had a strange sharpness that even surprised Seokjin himself. "Just let yourself feel lonely? What if it's time to move on-"

"Stop!" Yoongi's voice was thick with tears. He was crying. "Please stop... I'll go on that Goddamn date if it makes you feel any better." Anger laced his words, making the older jerk upwards in shock. He sat there, staring at the divide in their bedroom. It had been placed there to ensure both men got the privacy they wanted. Now, it felt like it was dividing their emotions as well.

"Yoongi-"

"Let's just sleep."
