"Fine. I'll let it slide for now, but if something happens I wanna be the first to know. Anyways I gotta go, to the beach! See ya!"
He hung up and you finally let yourself breathe. You felt a bit of guilt before you shook it off and made a mental note that when the truth comes up, you'll take responsibility.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Three knocks on the front door before a minute of silence. The doorbell then rang and you went to open the door. You were confused about who could be knocking as you felt you had dealt with everyone, but you smiled to see who was at the door.
"I don't know how on earth you managed to find me, but we can discuss that after you come in," you said, and the two boys took off their shoes after entering and followed you to the living area.
"We contacted two of your friends that you left your bag at the party and asked if they could give it to you. Though they said they wouldn't give it to you directly, they'll give us a lift to you," Kuroo spoke up. You knew you recognized that car to be Matsun's.
"I don't really remember bringing a bag though... did I?" you asked, and the boys looked at each other.
"Well, we actually don't know if you did or not—we just came to see how you're doing," Kuroo responded, and you made an "o" shape with your mouth.
"Oh, well, I cleaned up the house and myself like crazy, um, I've been cooking too. The only thing is I have lost my job but yeah, things have been fine," you updated them, and they both glanced at each other.
"Wait—sorry, what were you guys' names again? I feel like it's so rude of me to ask that."
"Kuroo Tetsurou and Tsukki!"
"Tsukishima Kei, but Tsukishima is fine."
"Well, nice to meet you both, again," you awkwardly welcomed them and there was silence for a few minutes before Tsukishima spoke up.
"You need a job."
"I told you to let me handle the talking, Tsukishima! You're too blunt!"
"You dragged me here, so deal with it. You need a job."
You paused before replying back to Tsukishima, not expecting his straightforwardness at all. "Yes, I know," you responded, but he cocked his eyebrow up in return.
"You losing your job means you have not shown up to work at all because of some events, but you still had the option to call in sick for the week? Yet you did not. You decided to play emo and forget you actually have a life outside this little fantasy world you have revolving around you. I can't say I pity you," he finished, and Kuroo immediately started apologizing.
"He meant to say we understand you're going through a tough time and moment, but now would be a good time to consider some of these actions," Kuroo blurted out, and you laughed at this. The boys looked at you confused, but you just smiled back.
"I'll have it in mind, thank you," you replied before checking the time on your phone. "Are you guys hungry or thirsty by any chance? I'd feel bad for letting you guys leave without giving something back," you offered.
"Y'know I was craving some—" Kuroo started before Tsukishima interrupted him.
"You already gave back to us by informing us of your safety, so that's enough for now," he cut in. Kuroo's stomach growled loudly, which made Tsukishima glare at him strongly before you spoke up.
"I'll take that as a yes, be back in a minute~." You stood up to the kitchen to gather something for your guests as you listened to them bicker in the background.
