Chapter 15: Discovering Jai's Feelings

                                    

                                          
* Jai's POV * 
                          
Getting up in the morning wasn’t hard anymore. I’m not usually a morning person, but I can manage to get up early for school without a problem. I think Andi might have been the reason. I don’t know, but I’m just so happy whenever I’m with her. I can be myself and she won’t even judge me. I love her. She’s my best friend, and I’m glad I met her.
                          
I was already up and dressed for school around 7:00AM. Well, you might say I’m excited but I wanted everything to be right when I get out of the house. I was having breakfast with my mum and Beau while we’re waiting for Luke to get ready. Probably still brushing and fixing his curly hair.
                          
“Is there something you want to share, Jai” mum teased.
                          
I have no idea what she was talking about and then my brother suddenly uttered, “No mum, it’s just Andi.”
                          
They both laughed. They talked about how Andi have always cheered me up and have made me in a good mood.
                          
“Is she your girl yet?” asked mum.
                          
Beau was teasing me and I can’t help but blush.
                          
“No” I said, “she’s my best friend.”
                          
A few minutes later, Luke came out and joined us for breakfast.
                          
“My other baby, what do you want?” mum asked Luke while he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
                          
“I don’t know. I’m not really hungry, maybe just an apple or something” Luke replied.
                          
She got him an apple from the fruit bowl, and since I was already done we both decided to go to school.
                          
“Bye mum!” we shouted as we were about to go out the house.
                          
Beau went out the house and he was about to do some errand. “I can drop you guys to school.”
                          
Since Beau was driving us, the more we can get to the school soon. I was pretty excited to go to school that Beau even noticed how eager I was.
                          
“Jai, you look like a little baby who’s going to school for the first time.”
                          
We have arrived in school and some of our friends were in our usual spot already. I saw that Andi wasn’t there yet so I went to my locker first then the bathroom. I wanted to check myself out again. Luke went straight ahead with the group. I was feeling giddy. I was taking my time knowing it was still early. I looked myself back at the mirror, washed my hands, and then went out the bathroom and straight to our hang out place.
                          
I saw Andi from far behind and she was talking to Daniel, and some of the other guys.
                          
“Jai baby, Andi was just looking for you” I heard Daniel teased.
                          
That statement just made me want to hug Andi and not let go. I was blushing like crazy. I gave her a surprised hug from behind, and whispered, “Hey, missed me?” I was totally happy to hear our friends teased us. I don’t mind at all. I was even hoping that it was all true. I think I may have fallen for her. I’ve never been so happy. Andi was quiet the whole time. She didn’t even turn around to look at me. I was still hugging when I felt that she pushed me away. I let go then, but she wasn’t turning around to face me. After a couple of minutes she just left.
                          
“Andi,” I called out but she didn’t stop.
                          
No idea what happened, and my happiness just died down. Kaity and Louise went to follow her but she said she wanted to be alone for a bit. I knew something was up and I knew it was my entire fault. Maybe she didn’t want what I did and got annoyed. I had a few questions in mind because I don’t know why exactly she got mad at. I’m no good friend, and I was thinking that maybe I’m not a good boyfriend either. Kaity and Louise let her be. She was hiding inside the bathroom, and I would really wanna go in and talk to her. The bell was about to ring, and people were already moving around so they could get in class right on time. I was still standing outside the bathroom door, leaning on the wall post. I didn’t want to leave her. I knew I wanted to be the first guy he would see when she goes out.
