Jungkook

"I am thankful to everyone who helped me through last year. Professor Molnar, you, Kyla," Jimin tipped his wine glass towards her and then looked at me. "And the most important person. Jungkook. I couldn't have done it without all of your support."

"I hardly did anything," Shane laughed while I sat there, color draining from my skin at his earlier revelation.

"You did plenty. You kept an eye on Jungkook."

"Pfft," I sneered. "I don't need to be babysat."

In honesty, Jimin thought he was helping me. He wanted to be a therapist and his early sessions started with me, wanting me to open up, to never hurt anyone else. What he didn't know was that I never honestly cared enough about people to hurt them by going out of my way. And I wasn't planning to start caring about anyone in the future either, but yes, if anyone was to look at him the wrong way, I would — what society calls it — commit the crime.

"Uncle Aaron is a baby." Lorelei pointed her tiny finger at me.

I ignored her childish remark and turned to Jimin. "I am thankful for you."

"Me?" Jimin smiled, little intoxication glimmering in his gaze as our eyes connected in a way that the outer world ceased to exist. His lips were gushing red, his cheeks also gaining the tint of wine.

"Just you. Just for existing, Angel. You don't even have to do anything for me."

Shane cleared his throat because if he didn't, I would have started fucking melting at Jimin's feet.

We went on to finish our dinner.

I wanted to be alone with Jimin desperately, but they kept talking and expressing their gratitude.

Finally, when we were done with the dinner, Jimin insisted we clean up. I didn't want to say no to him for anything. Everyone went to their rooms, leaving us alone. "You are silent. Are you feeling alright?" He asked while handing me a big dish.

"I am," I took the crockery from him to dry.

"Anna and Kyla are exclusive now..." He smiled to himself, moving on to wash the other dish. "But they haven't told their families. Anna went to her parent's house. I couldn't have left her there alone. Everyone should be with families or friends. But, sorry... I should've asked you before inviting her." He couldn't hide the hint of disappointment from his voice.

"That's okay," I worked on a forced smile, assuring him that it was fine. I didn't care about Kyla enough either to hate her. I was only annoyed by her because she made Jimin light up. "You don't have to ask me anything."

"You are sweet," Jimin leaned and kissed my cheek while trying to keep the scrub and the china plate hovering above the sink. "Can you pull up my sleeve?"

I folded his cuffs, looking at his veiny arms. He has been boxing again, which I realized when we were fucking, taking in the details of the result of his hard work had made me drool. Lean Jimin was fuckable, but buff Jimin was the death of me.

Being done with the chores, we got inside our bedroom. I waited a moment, thinking about what to do with my surprise as he walked out to the balcony. I didn't need any disturbance for the rest of the night, my heart pounding, my palms sweating as I put my surprise down — which was earlier safely kept in another room — on the bed after closing our door shut and followed him out.

"You never told me you were moving." I couldn't wait any longer to have the conversation.

"That's a lie," he flattened his palms against my chest, inching closer, the fabric crackling under his palms as he rubbed them against it. "I told you I wanted to move to a warmer and dry place."
