"This is Michael's house?" I asked staring at the house in front of us. When I was first told Michael's house was big. I didn't expect what I saw in front of me.
The massive lawn out front was already full of drunk people from our school. The loud music currently blasting was probably able to be heard from space. The bushes out front already becoming acquainted to the drinks currently emptying their stomachs into them. Yeah god help whoever had to clean up tomorrow.
"Oh right you don't know much about him do you?" Ashton asked as I nodded my head. I knew a few things obviously. I knew he has parents. His Dad owns a company while his Mum does... motherly things. I knew he has two dogs but I'm assuming their somewhere else at the moment. He might be a only child... the house is making me doubt myself due to how big it is.
"I don't know much about anyone except what you have already told me"
"Michael's Dad owns a tech company and is currently in London visiting the other branch he owns with his wife." Ashton explained before linking arms with me. I didn't stop him leading me over to the front door. Olivia and Theo following behind with a bottle of lemonade in hand. Jake had ditched us the moment he could get out the car.
The mention of London made my heart skip a beat. I missed my old home. I missed my friends. I missed the rain. I missed it all. But we left most of it behind for me. That worked so well now that Justin is here.
"Are you ok?" Ashton immediately asked as I nodded my head slowly at him. I am fine. I take each step one at a time tonight. I stay far away from Justin and everything will be fine. It all will be fine.
"Shes probably realised Michaels Dad was one of the reasons they moved here" Theo chimed in while glancing around the front lawn. It wasn't exactly hard to guess he was looking for someone. A certain dyed hair boy that makes him happy. Wait!
"What did you just say Theo" I asked before turning to him. The smile on his face gave it all away before he even spoke the sentence that was a lie.
That was one of the many reasons that wasn't true. Yes my Dad got a promotion but it didn't require us moving here. He could have been in charge of the London branch of Clifford Tech. But he said no and instead asked to be transferred to the Australia one. It was for me. Every decision he made was for me.
"I thought you had put two and two together Lucy. Michael Clifford... Clifford Tech... Michael's Dad... your Dad. How are you so smart ninty five percent of the time but also stupid five percent of the time?"
"Why are you stupid one hundred and ten percent of the time then?" I asked as Olivia snickered at my comment. I knew I was smiling but I thought he would be as well. Instead Theo had a confused look on his face.
"You can't have over one hundred percent of something?" Theo mumbled as I rolled my eyes. That was something I should have expected him to say.
"Come on Theo! Let's go and get drunk before you give me a headache" Olivia shouted loudly before linking arms with him. Me and Ashton both watched as she dragged him into the house. Olviia was probably taking him to get a drink... or to Michael. Either one would keep him distracted all night..
"Are you ok Lucy?" Ashton asked with a look of concern. I knew why he was concerned. Ever since I became friends with him I learnt he notices over peoples emotions easily. Ashton could probably see the nerves dropping down my face.
