"Uggghhhhhh." Yeji groaned in absolute boredom, Chaeryeong had been driving she and Lia for like an hour, maybe even two. It didn't even look like they were going anywhere, they were in the middle of nowhere.
"Stop your whining!" Lia pushed her from the back seat. Yeji glared at her and pushed her back from the front passenger seat. "Ya!" Lia yelled.
"We've been driving for like an hour, where the hell are you taking us?" Yeji forgot about Lia and spoke to Chaeryeong instead.
"Somewhere nice, don't worry."
"Nice? We're in the middle of nowhere!" Lia argued.
"For once, I agree with her. Take us back. She has to work on her debut."
"Nope. Consider this me helping you two with both your lives and careers." Chaeryeong argued back, it was obvious she wasn't going to turn the car around.
But finally, they arrived at their destination, it didn't look promising. It was literally still the middle of nowhere. Like a park with no reception. It looked like they had made a wrong turn and cannibal hooligans were gonna start hunting them down one by one.
"Everyone out! I'll be right out with ya and we'll get this all settled. You guys packed lunches and water, right?"
"Yes, you reminded us like we were children. Hurry, so we can get this over with." Yeji spat, getting out of the car at the same time as her fake fiance.
They got out on the same side and right as Lia got out, a grasshopper sprung up from the ground and onto her arm. She squealed and squirmed away, running into Yeji by accident.
"Get it off! AHHH! GET IT OFF! YAA! EOMMA! APPA! AHHH KARINA YA!" The younger one screamed, putting her arm out and looking away.
"Aish, you're so loud! It's just a grasshopper, they don't even bite!" Yeji shouted back, slapping the green insect off of the other's arm. "One second and you're already a mess."
"Ya, how are you not afraid of insects? I still don't get it." Lia whined, keeping close to the car just in case she had to jump on it to get away.
"They aren't jackshit. Ya Chaeryeong! Hurry the fuck up!" Yeji said impatiently, it looked like Chaeryeong was on her phone, which made no sense. There's no reception out here.
There was another grasshopper that jumped onto the hood of the car, making Lia squeal away and hug Yeji for dear life. But Yeji pushed her away with a huff, leaving Lia to fend for herself.
"Yeoreobun! Bwa! (Everyone! Look!)" Chaeryeong announced from the car, she opened her window and held her phone out.
Yeji and Lia walked around to her side to look at her phone screen, it displayed the time that the sun would be setting that day. Sunset would start at 7:12 in the evening.
"What about it?" Yeji spoke.
Chaeryeong smirked, putting her phone back inside and throwing it to the passenger seat, she locked the car doors and said, "I'll be back by then. Work it out girly pops!" Then she reversed back out of the gravel road all the way back until she made it to the intersection they turned from. She zoomed off, ignoring the running couple trailing behind her.
"Oh, you mother-" Yeji shouted, stopping herself when she realized it was no use. "Aish, this is your fault! You should have just made the couch my way!"
"That's all you ever want! You always want things your way! What about me! I'm not your goddamn assistant anymore. You can't just boss me around."
"Then what am I supposed to do?"
