Iida's engines had always fascinated Todoroki.

He would watch the mesomorphic male run, or sit, or lecture his fellow students (particularly Bakugou and Mineta), or anything really. just marvelling at the smooth metal that protruded from his well-defined calves. Todoroki would find himself staring constantly at the metallic pipes, catching himself out and scorning himself for his shameless actions. Despite all this he still found himself subconsciously gazing at the Iida's legs, he could have sworn his eyes were connected to those sculpted calves by some strange, uncontrollable force, with his gaze always seemingly magnetised towards Iida's legs, an irrefutable outcome that would leave his face burning in shame and embarrassment. What would happen if he was caught? why was he so damn careless!

He mused over the idea that it could just be a way for him to constantly check out the strong male himself. With his demonically hansom undercut, that soothing ocean blue, not a hair out of place, like calm waters, mesmerising. The way his glasses glinted and framed his deep azure eyes, creating glittering frames that complimented his dark eyes perfectly. And don't get him started on his professionalism and his caring personality, I mean the man had it all, looks, personality and an irresistible innocent charm that made Todoroki wonder what dark secrets he must be hiding. But he always brushed it off. He couldn't possibly like the class rep, could he...

Shit. He was down bad.

So when Todoroki found Iida himself behind the training rooms, he knew he was in trouble.

The shorter male appeared to be in pain, limping sightly as he headed to the shower rooms, dragging one of his legs slightly behind him. His face was pulled into a slight frown as he smiled tightly at Todoroki.

"Hello Todoroki, my sincerest apologies, I was just heading to the shower rooms, how are you?" Iida winced towards the taller boy.

"I'm fine, just heading over myself" the heterochromic male replied nonchalantly, scanning the other for any immediately obvious injuries that could be the cause of his obvious discomfort. Then his eyes wandered down towards their favourite focal point. Iida's engines. They were no longer shiny and metallic, appearing well maintained, like the source of pride that Shoto knew them to be to the raven haired male. They were tarnished and sooty, appearing blocked with thick black powder, it looked miserable even to Todoroki, he could imagine how uncomfortable it must feel, having some extent of experience with smoke inhalation due to the nature of his quirk. He imagined it to feel almost as suffocating.

"Your engines" Shoto stated bluntly, seeming to shock the other boy, who flushed slightly and started desperately trying to backtrack.

" what! Oh yes! They may be a bit blocked from training, I'm trying a new move, and might have gone overboard, unprofessional and stupid of me I know. Rest assured I will not let it happen again, I assume they must look quite the mess, I'm sorry, I'll go and sort it out, it shouldn't take...."

"Do you want me to help?" the question had left Shoto's mouth before he had time to stop it, making himself curse internally as Iida squeaked uncharacteristically and went from a normal pale pink to a deep red, trying desperately to maintain composure at the sudden question.

"only if you are comfortable with it, but I wouldn't mind helping if you could use it, they look hard to reach from your angle" Todoroki continued, desperately trying to diffuse the situation, and explain himself, though his blunt approach didn't seem to be helping, as Iida still looked shocked.

"I will go, I apologise for making you feel uncomfortable" he stated dully, only to be stopped short by the other boy, who looked hesitant, but also conflicted.

"Its fine, I could actually use some help if you're alright with it, you're right, they are quite hard to reach, and I fear I may not be able to sufficiently clean them, considering the neglected state they are in. though I must inform you that, despite the hard exterior, my engines are quite sensitive, so I would understand if you felt uncomfortable helping me out."
