I scrubbed my hands over my face, making faces...

as I walked into the office, only to find Pin in there, holding an envelope of money.

"Whatcha doing?" I asked, accidentally but not regretfully startling him.

"Luna, hi." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Um, I know what this looks like." Pin said, stepping closer to me.

"I mean, it looks not great but I know that's your money," I said, "I thought you owed it to Mia? Not that I am taking Mia's side in any matter." I rambled.

"It's complicated?" Pin said hesitantly.

"Alrighty." I replied, ringing my hands a little.

"You're not... mad?" He asked. I shook my head.

"I sure that you've got a good reason for whatever you're doing and I don't think it's illegal or putting anyone in immediate danger so I feel like it's fine." I explained.

"I- I do have to go, but-" my shoulders tensed a little bit while I tried to scrape up anything I could say to keep him in a conversation.

"Oh, yeah, sure! I have to go check on Rosebud anyway." I hesitated, backing up a bit toward the door. Pin didn't say anything, though he wasn't usually one for many words anyway.

I slipped out of the office, walking quickly to Rosebud's stall. I hummed a random melody that had been stuck in my head for a while as a flimsy distraction. And it didn't really work.

"Holloway's gone too far this time." I then heard Mia say.

It was then we were all gathered in front of Mia while she announced the sudden holt of any communication with anyone from Holloway.

"From this point on, no one is to be caught cavorting with anyone from Holloway and yes Luna, Zoe, that does include a certain traitor whose name I can't even bear to speak."

I rolled my eyes.

"She means Pin." Becky said.

"I know, Becks." I said, crossing my arms.

"Don't worry about that, Mia. He chose his side, I chose mine." Zoe concluded.

"Good. Make sure it stays that way. And you, Luna, better get ready to pick your side too." Mia said.

"What? No."

"Yes. End of discussion."

"Uh... Mia? Where does this leave me and Callum?" Susie asked, looking between Mia and me.

"You know I'd never tell you what to do, Susie,"

"But you'll dictate everyone else with no hesitation-" I snapped.

"But you have to choose. It's Bright Fields or Callum." Mia finished.

"But... uh..." Mia walked away while Susie and I had a silent freak-out conversation across the yard.

"What are we gonna do?"

"I have no idea."

I walked past Susie with my head down, my brain running a mile a minute. Had Holloway told Pin the same thing? Is that why he's been so weird? Or is it me who has been weird?

I knew I needed to just talk to him so I move with haste to get to his house.

After basically running to Pin's house, I fought to catch my breath as I rang the doorbell but there wasn't any answer. I waited a few seconds before trying the door, despite the uneasy feeling I had just barging into the house.
