Min Yoongi had always been waiting for love. He was never in a relationship for more than a few months, if he even did bother to ask anyone out at all. The other members sometimes worried, but they knew Yoongi was an adult and could manage his own love life.
Well, sometimes they did still meddle.
"Yoongi-hyung!" Taehyung called as the maknae trio ran to catch up with the rapper. "We were looking for you!"
Tucking his notebook and pen back into his pocket, Yoongi turned to the younger men, eying their dishevelled appearances. "What's going on? Why were you looking for me in such a hurry?"
"Are you free tomorrow night, hyung?" Jimin asked innocently from behind his hands. His eyes sparkled with excitement and mischief. It was a look Yoongi had slowly grown to hate during their time as friends. It always led to one of the trio's crazy plans.
Sighing, he let himself fall back against the wall. "And why would that matter?"
Eyes gleaming, Jimin simply stated, "date."
While knowing full well what Jimin meant, Yoongi decided to tease the younger a bit. He raised his eyebrows in faked surprise. "Oh, wow, Jiminnie. Didn't know you felt like that. I'm sorry I only see you as a friend-"
Huffing loudly, the singer leant over and hit his shoulder. "No idiot! I meant with a girl we found! She's really nice and we're sure you'll hit it off."
Yoongi bit at his lower lip for a second, all three maknaes staring up at him with huge puppy dog eyes. Pushing off from the wall, the oldest gumbled out, "suddenly a date with you doesn't sound so bad, Minnie."
He started to walk away but the trio still followed, trailing along behind him and begging. "I swear you'll like her!" "Just one date, please?" "For us?" "You always say you're lonely, but never do anything about it!" "Pleeeeeease?" "Come on, she's perfect for you!"
To Yoongi's relief, one of the side doors opened and Namjoon walked out. He frowned at the chaos - not because he wasn't used to it, but more out of curiosity as to what was going on. "Joon-ah, help me. These brats are attacking me." Yoongi didn't pout much, but he was then. The situation was uncomfortable to him, and he knew the leader could get the three youngest to leave him alone.
"No, Namjoon-hyung," Jungkook countered, "we aren't attacking. We found hyung the perfect girl but he's refusing to even go on one date with her! You should help us!"
"I'm refusing because I don't want a relationship right now."
Taehyung immediately rolled his eyes, seeing right through the older's words. "Then why do you always complain about being lonely? You don't want to be lonely but you don't want a relationship? How does that work?"
The words slipped out before Yoongi could stop them. "Because I'm already in love!" The five of them stood there staring at each other with wide eyes. It was something Yoongi never planned on telling them, or anyone. Now that they knew, it felt like a part of his world had collapsed. He was at a loss of what to say or do now. It looked as if the others were too as well.
"Hyung-" Jimin started, but was cut off by Yoongi.
"Sorry, I'm late to something. I have to go." He rushed away, leaving the unwanted confession with the leader and maknaes.
None of them saw Yoongi until late that evening. He arrived at the dorm much later than anyone expected and drunk as anything. He stank of alcohol so Seokjin convinced him to take a shower, but he just fell asleep on the floor in the bathroom instead. Jungkook carried him into his bed.
The next day, no one mentioned what happened the day before. The only reminder was Yoongi's pounding headache and his slight inability to complete their dances crisply. After the night before, Hoseok took pity on the rapper and only scolded him twice.
