The week before their semifinal against Real Madrid, the entire squad were pushed to their limits and were all determined to win this match against their rivals. 
Sofia was fitting in well enough, she understood the drills and ran through them all properly. But everyone noticed her cockiness, what most of them first thought was a joke to break the ice soon turned into them realising Sofia truly believed she's the best in the team. 
Even with Alexia in the same group as her, Sofia put herself at the top. 
It's all well and good having confidence in your ability and a little bit of a arrogant swagger when on the ball, but Sofia was going too far, she thought she was a better person than everyone else, that her views and opinions on everything were correct and she had some higher insight. 
Unfortunately for Kaia, she had to spend most of her time at training with the new recruit because of the whole English thing, but Kaia did drag Ingrid along a few times when she realised Sofia looked at her in a way she didn't look at the others. 
Leila could've also sworn she saw Sofia openly checking Kaia out in the gym, something only Mapi's allowed to do. So Kaia decided she wouldn't be alone with the Irish international again out of respect for her girlfriend. 
That stopped any possible flirting but it didn't stop the inappropriate comments and opinions. 
Right now they were running through sprint drills, separated into groups of five and Kaia was in a group with Sofia. But she had Patri, Alexia and Frido which made her basically ignore the strikers presence almost entirely. Thankfully Frido was mature enough to be the one to answer any questions Sofia had. 
But that went out the window when Frido had to take her turn on the drill, because Sofia's attention then went to Kaia as Alexia recovers from the sprint she just did. 
Sofia knew Mapi and Kaia were together and sickeningly perfect, never arguing, always with each other, quite a bit of PDA when they were in an unprofessional setting and more. But that didn't stop her from finding Kaia attractive and also being intrigued by the whole Dani thing that basically everyone knows about through word of mouth. 
She was aware of Mapi a few groups down from them, and the fact she was out of earshot and concentrating on the exercise made Sofia scan Kaia over in her well fitted training gear. But her eyes stop on the tattoos on Kaia's left hand, and she zones in on the LEÓN. "It's a bit soon, don't you think?" She says. 
Patri glances back and sees Kaia looking over to the Irishwoman. "Excuse me?" Kaia pushes dryly. 
Sofia points a lazy finger to Kaia's hand. "Having her name tattooed on you, it's only been a few weeks right?" She continues completely unapologetically. 
Alexia and Patri immediately meet each other's eyes with the same look, wanting to defend both of their friends but also wanting to leave it to Kaia to handle. 
"Months." Kaia corrects as her eyes go back to Frido darting in and out of the slalom poles. "Not that it's any of your business." 
"Sorry if I hit a nerve." Sofia puts her hands up but it's patronising as hell and Alexia sees Kaia clench her jaw harshly. "I just mean she might be like the last one and now her names on you for life." 
Patri's eyes widen big enough for a few in other groups to notice something is going on, and Mapi is one of them. She sends a questioning look to the midfielder who just shakes her head, telling the centre back not to intervene. 
Kaia spins around to face Sofia, trying not to make a scene even though a few are already watching. "Keep your opinions to yourself and stop prying into my relationship." She says through gritted teeth.
